Description Alrighty... this is something I drew a few years ago. It's a U.S. military .50 caliber "Quad Mount." There are actually a few varieties of these used during WWII. My friend and I were quite amused by the idea of such a weapon system. In truth, it was primary an anti-aircraft weapon and in some cases used against armored vehicles and such. The type you see here appears to be set up to be mounted on a ship or perhaps into the ground with wheels to be used to tow the weapon behind a vehicle once removed from it's base. Basically, you have four .50 cal Browning machine guns, the big air-cooled M2HB, joined together so that they fire at the same time. The combined rate of fire is around 2,000 rounds a minute and considering the power of the huge .50 BMG round, you can just imagine what this thing would do!

Anyways... it's an old drawing but quite legendary in the history of awesome things that I've drawn... xD

NOTE: It just occurred to me that this might actually be a .30 caliber quad mount. I don't recall what the reference picture was supposed to be, but judging by the ventilated shrouds around the barrels, the relative size of the ammunition boxes and the guns themselves in comparison to the tires, it just seems like it may actually be a set of .30 M1917's rather than the big .50.
