Had a hard time with this one. It's one of those pieces you're never really content with and the more you look at them, the worse it gets

Ah, I've been working on a piece that gave me the same impression.

All paradoxical pieces are like that.
You can see opposing parts here.
I love pieces with opposing parts and non-trivial composition.

Yes, me too. I always try to make something new, something I haven't made a hundred times before. And then, playing with two different and opposite parts gives me room to play around a little.

Thanks, Nicolas I didn't like it for some time because there was this one photo that I just couldn't seem to work into a texture. But I think it worked after all.

Thank you! Yes, the background is some kind of marbled stone and what might look like ice/glue is actually... well, it was on a door of a person's home. Maybe plastic with a debossed pattern. Did almost look like 3D printing.
