True that! My mum has a friend who, every time we run into her at the grocery store, shoves her cellphone in our faces to show us every. single. artwork she did recently... wants to hear how great she can paint. And to be honest, I'm not impressed. I know she's very proud of herself since this is a new passion of hers but she's lacking a bit of humility in my opinion. And she's way too in your face with it. There's no letting people discover things... and the pressuring into complimenting her :/ oh man. Don't know why I told you that

wow, I like to hear such stories. it's a small thing, maybe even personal. but somehow it makes me feel better. probably because I meet so many annoying, irresponsible or arrogant people that sometimes I get an impression I might be the only person that is still able to think on my own and able to see the truth of things. I guess I don't understand why people lie to themselves

"I guess I don't understand why people lie to themselves" - Exactly! I know a bunch of folks who are so good at lying to themselves it's almost creepy. And ignoring problems even though they're at a stage where I'd say they can't be ignored any more or something very real is going to happen. But oh well. I guess the best thing one can do is offer an ear to listen and try to be of help if asked.

It almost looks like a cocoon getting ready to hatch - but I can see the waterfall and mountains others see too (now that I've read their opinions), so many ways to read a single image

Yeah I find that so exciting because even after being told people see a waterfall and mountains, all I can see is half the face of a sea monster
