Description
Some of your have been waiting for this since I posted the WIP.YES, this IS a (master) copy. Don't compliment me on the drawing because I didn't come up with it. It is a watercolor after the fifth in Edward Burne-Jones' Days of Creation series. The original was either done in oil or gouache (but I'm don't know which right now). Not perfect (I fixed the highlight on the blue globe but I don't feel like scanning again)... but I don't care. I think I learned some about color doing it.
FULL VIEW is much larger.
You can see a scan of the original here: [link] (feet are cut off though)
And both of them side by side here: [link]

Oh Meredith, this is really really well done. The colours are just fantastic. And i know it is after Jones' painting, but still, you did a fantastic job

I see how you chose to do watercolor. I mean, in watercolor, you bring light and movement to the original without overpowering the original meaning. Now I see why watercolor is your chosen medium.
I prefer acrylic still...

The colors give off a nice stained-glass window feel.

The detail on the 'feathers' part of the costume is beautiful, and I love the reflections in the water below their feet.

Colors, colors.. I see color everywhere. I love this!! You did an awesome job at keeping the proportions balanced, and that's always hard when you've got a group picture.

Nice job on the colors. I like the vivid colors on yours. The "master" still has the edge on subtlety of facial features. It's a good exercise, I imagine, in learning how someone else does things.

The original was about 4 times larger and different media It's harder when my faces are only 1 inch high.
