He shoots, he scores. I break-in my newly replaced zoom lens with a species I did not know. There weren't more than a few of them. I had to search my Sibley bird book. Of course I was thinking sandpiper, but this didn't check all the boxes.

A migratory bird at the Quivira Wildlife Refuge. (On what was, overall, a very disappointing day for the variety, numbers (except geese) and birds spotted within photographing distance.) Right now, this is one of only two pics of this species in DA. Hooray!
