Description This is a maxed-out, 400mm telephoto, (further cropped.) It is easily over two-hundred yards from my balcony. I marvel at the clarity of the photo, (which I attribute to the camera, a Canon 60D and the "L" lens.) The unusual colors are the morning light reflecting off of buildings on the opposite side of the lake. The unusual pattern in the reflection is caused by the chain-link fence that is on the far side of the lake. Maybe not the ideal in nature, (as far as the fence and buildings) but no less 'perfect' in my eyes. Thanks for viewing.

Awesome composition. Very interesting with the motion of the duck and the red in the water. I see, your new "L" Lens and the 60D are well used

Thanks. Yes, there's a bit of a learning curve but I'm thrilled with some of the results. Managing the weight of the lens is challenging and I'm learning how to photograph moving objects. I'm depending a lot on the IS as most of my photos to date have been hand held. The weather here is all over the map right now and there are more days with stiff winds than not, so the conditions haven't been the best but that's going to improve gradually. Thanks for the collects. Made my day!
