i feel like a bad fangirl
i can't remember which characters they're dressed as, or even which Transformers series they're from.... 
but aren't those cool outfits? those costumes are the shiz-nit. foam suits. they did a bunch of posing, and it was quite cool.

should really be called "mecha cosplayers." a starscream and a megazord from A-kon...16? is that the right number? i think it is.

yeah, at the time i was way out of the loop with mecha dn monster fandoms, but i've since remembered (and been reminded) that these are a Megazord (i have no clue which season he's from) and a Starscream.

yah, at the time i'd posted this, i apparently had complete amnesia for my youth of watching both voltron and transformers in japanese. and please, please, PLEASE, never associate voltron (which, while also campy and horribly mangled during english dubbing, has always been a better show) with power rangers again. i nearly go into convulsions at the thought of that americanized pile of godzilla turd, and i'd like to keep my rose-tinted memories of Hikaru being the coolest character i'd ever seen at the tender age of 3 from being sullied by comparisons to the Red Ranger of my junior high nightmares.

I used to have a Megazord action figure...you could separate it in five different animals, like in the series, and connect those Zords(the animals) with another Zord, the DragonZord, to make another robot. Finally, you could mix the Megazord and the Dragonzord to create the...I think the name was Megadragonzord, or something like that...it was pretty cool ^^

they made them with shaped foam; they used a kinda quilty technique to sew the shapes into their base fabrics to make the suits. ^_^

lol, ty so much... i was all "sweet, those guys are...are...wait, i should know this..." and feeling like a dumbass.
i think the first things i ever watched on tv were Transformers and Voltron, lol. it was in the early days of voltron's dub (which sucked ass, btw XD), that's all i remember. it must've been like 1990 or earlier, because i remember that it was before i got addicted to Sailor Moon on the only Japanese channel we got at the time.

No, not foam. that was all basically plaster and paper machae (sp?). I now the megazord dude
