@_@i'm sorry, but teh sp@rkli3z invaded my brain.....TT_TT
as you can see, i used an ENTIRELY different method on the bg/fg (again)
. this time, i did each one entirely in watercolor, even the highlighting (which i used to do with the pen tool). it was a matter of layering the base color, white, black touches, base color, soft white to blend -- then slam a 2 pt gamma reduc on it to darken it up, hit it with a soft gold, then repeated light touches with gold until i have the base of the highlight, then with white until the highlight is bright enough. gauss blur 1.8, send to ps7 for effects.i had a hella time trying to match the fonts/effects of the first wallpaper (don't ask why...i just felt like making them almost the same
)... for future reference (for me and for you guys XD), the base font is Seraphim, followed by (from top to bottom) Dilate, Onsoku Seinen, Wet Pet, Viner Hand ITC, Miltown II, and Knights Templar. all of those are free or default fonts. i used EyeCandy's motion blur a lot, and the PS7 motion blur a little. other than that, i have no clue on the effects... XDobviously, this one is a bit lighter, a bit sp@rklier, and more toward golden than Midnight was. not even sure that was conscious...9_9
all in all, 80-95% satisfied with this. but then, i think Naruto kicks ass. when he's not being a total f00. XD
Layer Count: 63 before merging for lens flares (incl. multiple layers for each phrase of lyrics, all bg/fg layers, and fully unmerged main image)

looooovely colours. I don't even really know who Naruto is, not being an anime head like all ya'll other people... does he wear a kilt and shoot lightning bolts out his arse?
Having the text in the different styles in the background is kind of a neat effect. But mostly I just like the persimmon colours and the curves of the background; dunno why but makes me feel all warm inside.

he's a loudmouthed, upbeat, energetic kid with an angsty past. XD that's pretty much the story.
the premise of the whole show (in a nutshell...): orphan kid has a demon sealed inside his stomach, so the whole ninja village hates him, but nobody's allowed to tell him why. so he decides he's going to be the best ninja ever and change the way the world works. it'd be a depressing show/manga if he weren't such a goofball, lol....
yeah, i tried to have a bit more of a 'flash of hope' kinda feel to this compared to Midnight. in Midnight, Sasuke has already given up on....stuff, and is resigned to kicking ass in order to get stronger. here in Dawn, Naruto is determined to bring Sasuke back to the village (fans of the series say it with me -- 'he used the nice guy pose, so he has to keep his promise!' XD).
(slightly unintentionally symbolic that Sasuke has 'turned his back' on the sun while Naruto is in the act of turning toward it.)

(bravo on the matching! i think it's pretty close to Midnight's fontwork. i REALLY like the new paint method for the bg/fg. nice.)

(also, i really like your choice of which pre-chorus to use for which boy. very fitting, imho.)

ah, thanks! i dunno, i felt somehow like the prechoruses were almost like a dialogue between the two; the cynicism in the first prechorus, and the dark/passionate feeling of the second seemed to really fit the moods of the two characters during the fight.
