Description I thought it may be sweet to make another stamp. My Fiance has Aspergers and is the sweetest man I know.  It can be very hard growing up with Aspegers but there is love to be had out there if you find the right person. My Fiance is a political correspondent who fights for the rights of people with disabilities of many kinds to understand the news, the world in general and allow them a voice when it comes to voting.

I used to work in a Primary School as a Teaching Assistant and I looked after many children who were on the spectrum. They varied from Low to High Functioning. I'm still friends with one of them today, he was 7 years old when I was his TA, and now he is 16 and far taller than me. On Friday's we hang out on Skype and play Minecraft together.

Both my brother and his Wife both have Aspergers as well. To me understanding people with Autism is very straight forward and a little understanding goes a long way.

I get very angry with Anti-Vaxxers. If you break it down to the simplest argument. People would rather have their children die of preventable diseases than have Autism. I think that goes to show how little people think of Autism, which is awful. It's also completely ridiculous as Autism is something you are born with and is genetic. But that is an argument for another time and place.

--------------------------

I created this using the template below.

The font I used is called Redensek and it's been my favourite font for small pixel stuff since the early 2000s.

If you also love someone on the spectrum, then please feel free to use this stamp.

Thank you for reading!

My fiance has Asperger's. We've been together since 2008 and he was diagnosed just a few years ago. We've had our ups and downs, but I wouldn't trade his love for anything else in the world. He's intelligent, funny, a geek like me, and he's a special kind of weird that I've grown to love over the years.

I haven't much problem with anti-vaxxers (I find the forceful disregard for bodily autonomy rights of the extreme pro-side much more disturbing than people who don't take vaccines, but that's a tale for another day), but it REALLY irritates me when their only reason is "vaccines cause autism"... there's plenty of reasons to be sceptical of vaccines or the medicine industry in general, but that's certainly not one of them.
It also annoyed me when John Oliver covered it in Last Week Tonight as well. I thought that maybe they'd actually cover the reasons why people do have issues with vaccines, but they didn't. They just went on about disproving the myth of vaccines linking to autism, which we all (should) know is bullsh*t anyway. They didn't go into the times vaccines themselves failed, or the effects they have on the immune system. They just spend the time covering an already disproven myth.

Mini-rant aside, I actually came here to say I'm on the autistic spectrum and so is my gf, and although things can be difficult for us due to our condition, at least we can overcome most of it together. As challenging as autism is, it's also awesome in other ways. And it's intertwined with our way of thinking, our personalities... essentially it shapes who we become to a large degree.
Frankly if there was a cure for autism, I would decline it.

I'm glad.

I have a quite a few watchers on the spectrum, and I knew if I shared my story and made a stamp everyone would feel more welcome.
