I know how you feel. I try to be polite and people think I'm being rude, and dub my mannerism as being alien. And then others accuse me of shouting at them, when clearly I am trying to be calm and polite around them. It's only when people upset or put pressure on me, then it all seems to go wrong...

Same here. This girl who I've been friends with since 3rd grade sometimes treats me like a little kid as well. She's a year older than me too. It kind of gets irritating when she does it.

Not only does she do it, but there are some people who do it too. I also hate it when my dentist pinches my nose. I get irritated when he does it. You only do that to a small child or a baby, not a 21 year old woman like me. That just seems silly to me.

I have high functioning autism. When I was in middle school and high school, my special ed teachers would joke around with other students including me. I never liked it as a freshman, but I got over it by sophomore year.
