Maneki Neko is the famous Lucky Cat of Japan. I love these little guys...they are all over the place in Asia.Lucky cats are generally three-colored cats. I chose a very traditional depiction of a lucky cat for my mask creation.
As always, this mask is an original leather mask sculpted entirely by hand...I use no molds or forms.

This mask is so much fun! I feel that if I were to wear it, I would have to sit and pose just like one of the lucky cats. I have so many of these cute little things at home, and this really evokes the thought of all of them.

I think that it would need to be a fairly oversized gold bell, but it could definitely be done!
