Description
The second of my Ouroboros masks (see here for a description of "Ouroboros" from the great flawed god Wiki: [link] ), I wanted a more monochromatic snake that featured lots of silvers and dark greys against the black background. I think this is some rare snake from India...? Anyway, it fit the bill and I think it's a very pretty snake.Carved from one piece of 8oz leather, tooled, wet-formed by hand, heat-set, and painted with Liquitex acrylics.

I'm tired of people thinking the Ouroboros originated in FMA, it grinds my nerves something awful, LOL.

Thanks! I'm sure I would as a cutom order...I figured black was the best basic color for a background but really anything would work, especially if it had to match an outfit.

ZOMG I love ouroboros!! I have one tattooed on my back!! I've even pondered making a mask of one but have been having trouble thinking up a design.

ooh no I didnt design it myself.. it is a complete and utter childhood nerd throwback... it is the Ouroboros "Auryn" from the old 80s film The Never Ending Story. So it has multiple meanings for me

Oh WOW ...WOW. I LOVE the fins on this guy. I know they are not of the species but it makes him look more magical and mystical. I love this design. I am a snake fanatic and you did an AMAZING job on the details, coloring, and expression. So awesome.

Wow, that really does surprise me! Hopefully you can tap the mythic snake market somehow. Maybe if there's a group around here dedicated to them. (after all, there is a mythic bird group!)

Okay, just... just wow. These are fantastic. The inspiration behind them, the design. It's simple yet elegant, and feels almost mysterious. Absolutely gorgeous! (I love serpents, and the concept of the ouroboros.
