Also known as My 5000 Pageview Kiriban Request,also known as NEVER AGAIN.
No shading because I was so done with it by that point you don't even.
Request for :
"I'd love to see Drift and Wing sparing with Great Swords, if that works for you."
Now, you get this. The reason being that I had to do some research and brainstorm with MAH BRO( ) to come up with a situation in which this could possibly occur, and we were left with Wing was resurrected as a zombie with dark energon and has some crazy, even more literal, spirit powered sword. So yeah.
BLURRDRIFT, WHY DO YOU HAVE SO MANY VENTS/SHESHUL PAINT JOB THAT DOES NOT HELP YOU BLEND IN/VENTS/EXTRANIOUS DETAILS?

Man oh man, what a concept. As much as it would pain me to see an event like this take place, it would not be unwelcome. Depending on who takes the reigns, the Drift and/or Drift +Wing dynamic has a lot of potential outside its respective media, IMO. (Especially if one were to take this route.)
...It's not every day something rattles Drift and in a scenario like this, the protagonist is ultimately expected to subdue the attacker, but unlike before, his foe has the face of a friend. A ghost from the past that was once a steady anchor, akin to a master/teacher, now little more then a beast under the barest of control. Considering the impact Wing had on Drift in the past, it's not entirely far fetched to assume that even the arrogance that is Drift would struggle in a battle like this. When a student is meant to surpass the teacher I imagine these are usually not the desired circumstances. Judging by Drift's expression, he looks far from expectant of this turn of events which could easily be the equivalent of a mind game if any of his enemies had a clue to the greater scheme of things.
With the characters involved, I can't help but think Turmoil would be the antagonist here. After all, what better way to get revenge on both his saboteurs? Wing the Catalyst of his 2nd Commands "undoing", and DriftDeadlock his traitorous betrayer...
Ok, TL;DR aside, it's time for the praise.
Both Drift and Wing are painfully detailed individuals who demand every iota of patience to illustrate. For all the time and effort you put into this piece, I commend you for it. Characters, colors, concept, I personally think it's all quite wonderful. The electric swirl of negative spirit energy being exerted and the original sword's subsequent reaction is also a nice touch. Thank you for sharing this glorious piece you did a fantastic job with the subjects -- it is truly a viewing delight.

Okay bro I know you hated drawing this but it's actually pretty awesome. JUST SAYIN'. (Also it looks so much better when I'm not looking at the screen at an angle. And the lightning is glorious, but Wing's expression is my favourite part. And yes I do actually mean Wing, not Drift, 'cause Drift's expression is lulzy but Wing's expression is so beautifully terrifying I don't even-)
