Me: Would you come if I told you I had a bazooka in my left boot?
Horse: Make it both and we’ve got a deal.
Me: … Okay, so I don’t have a bazooka. Please come?
Horse: Um, no.
Me: We can be heroes!
Horse: Really?
Me: Yes! And we can live in valor and splendor for the rest of our lives!
Horse: Really?
Me: And I’ll give you a lifetime supply of apples and carrots!
Horse: REALLY?!
Me: You bet! What do you say?
Horse: No.
Me: But we need to rescue the prince!
Horse: You’re fat.

Etc., etc., etc. Smart horse, no? And yes, that’s supposed to be me. This is for a contest being held by *angie-macleod [link] . The topic is “If I were a knight…” I’m not very fond of “knights in shining armor,” at least if I’m the one wearing the armor (how heavy it would be!). So I decided to give myself leather armor. Anyway, quite a deviation from my normal style. I admit I elected to paint it this way because I’m so bad at painting people.

I’ve got other works coming up that are more my style, as well as a comic that’s not in my normal style… yay!
