Description
The following arcana to the characters may not be completely accurate. I highly recommend reading the description for my personal thoughts and opinions about each character on their arcana representations. For anyone who wants to learn more about each arcana, Here’s the link for more information. megamitensei.fandom.com/wiki/A…
Messy Lizard: You have our protagonist who represents the Fool Arcana. New beginnings, nothingness, and Infinite possibilities. The protagonist is set into the unknown world and sees what the future awaits her.
Patricia Wagon: Patricia can be a driven officer who’s just doing her duty. However, she does have such confidence that’s makes her feel like she has nothing she can’t do, which is the case in Mighty Switch Force 2 where she switches her professions as a firefighter. In Mighty Switch Force Academy, we learn that she was a student at Planet Land Police Academy, undergoing a virtual reality training simulation that malfunctions and disables the safety protocols and traps her in a series of tests. Her arcana will be Magician due to her to do whatever it takes to serve and protect the world, even if she has to take down a giant space flea (the final boss in the game).
Peter Puppy: Peter is a close friend of Earthworm Jim. Focusing on the animated series (because I thought his character is flash out), Peter was born as an ordinary puppy who played in an unusual way. However, he was then being made fun of by the other dogs due to his small size. So he decided to face the vacuum cleaner which only led him to Planet Heck and being cast ”the greatest to torment” upon him by Evil the Cat. Thus, leading him to transform into a monster whenever he was “in time of stress.” His arcana will be the Hanged Man as he resembles his some sort of self-sacrifice and self-loathing for telling Jim to lock him up anyway as he seems himself as an outcast and a freak (even though Jim offers him to be his sidekick that he accepts). Another reason is because of his two different extremes that he has little to no control over as he can become a monster at any given negative moment.
Earthworm Jim: Jim is considered to be a superhero and a crimefighter against supervillains both on Earth and across the galaxy. He can show to be very cunning and childish in the animated series but also goofy and comedic in the game series as well. To this, he rarely thinks before jumping into the battle and starts firing with his ray gun, shouting “Eat dirt, (persons or things in question)!”, before maniacally laughing. He will be the World Arcana. The reason for this is because overtime, he’s actually setting out to be a hero from day one. He already knows his place in the world, and that is protecting the galaxy.
Princess What’s-Her-Name: (In the animated series, she and Queen Slug-for-a-Butt are twin sisters. However in the Doug Tennapel comic series, She’s the queen's adopted daughter. So I’m going to be looking over TV series instead since I’m more familiar with them.) The Princess was born hideously malformed (according to the Insectikan standards of beauty compared to humans) and was locked away from many years by the royal family. She then escaped the castle and started a rebellion against the Insectikan monarchy and her tyrannical sister. She represents the Justice Arcana due to the unfair environment she has to fight through.
Louis: Louis is a trumpet-playing alligator who has a dream of performing for human audiences without frightening them. And the only way he believes he can achieve his dream is to become a human himself. He’s the representation of the Sun Arcana. Although he does remain hopeful, one of the deleted scenes from the film stated that he “at least finally got friends he can jazz with all day long.” This could possibly mean that he was alone in the bayou due to his gator appearance and in fact no one wanted to stick around listening to him playing.
Tiana: Tiana is a gifted cook and dreams of opening a restaurant of her own after her late father passed away. Although she appears to be a hard working woman, she can be uptight and far too absorbed in work ethics to focus on relaxation. She represents the Chariot Arcana as she is very driven by getting her own restaurant.
Prince Naveen: Naveen is an eldest prince of Maldonia who arrives at New Orleans to marry a wealthy southern belle to regain his fortune. He’s extremely vain, using his ability to arouse women, and stuck to the mindset of all women were in terms of romantic interest. As he mentions that he has dated “thousands” of women over the course of his lifetime and not to mention his additional comment during “When We’re Human”. You later find out that his reason to be in New Orleans in the first place is because his parents cut him off from his lazy and extravagant lifestyle, yet feeling useless on his own, representing the Lover Arcana. The reason for this is because he had a contract of choice and how he wanted to live his life only then to regret overtime. Additionally, he is considered to be both popular and spirited since he is the prince.
Guru Ant: Guru Ant is the teacher of Stage 3: BIG, “HEY, Grab That Remote Control!!!” in PaRappa the Rapper 2. He tried to come off as wise and cool but actually rather pretentious. Whenever the shrink ray makes him and PaRappa extremely huge, he gets a mental breakdown and demands to return to his normal size. His arcana is the Hierophant as his biggest trait is to teach him how to be “big.” Now the term big can be just physical size. But to him, it’s more about maturity as soon as the song ends and quickly reveal what he’s truly meant wreather on the Good, Cool, or one of the two terrible modes. The Good Mode ending has Guru Ant worried that he’s bigger than his normal size and wants to be small again. However in the Cool Mode ending, he became proud after being told that he has grown. He can also be seen with the other teachers later on in the game such as the 6th stage and the final stage with that size despite not knowing which version is canon. Honestly, I would like to make the Good Mode ending to be more canon which gives him time to get used to the new size he grew. It’s kind of like Ginormica as she tries to fit into the new norms of society.
Gluntz: Gluntz is the top secret B.A.D. G.U.Y.S. (Bureau of Animal Defense - Glurfsburg Upper Yippville Section). She can be described as very cherry, upbeat, and unpredictable even though she takes her job seriously. She is also quick to interrogate other people if necessary. I feel like she would be more suitable as a Star Arcana as she is shown to be hopeful and joyful while at the same time, it’s kind of hard for her to see McWinkle go from his retirement.
The Grinch: (Focusing on the Live Action version) The Grinch is shown to be grouchy, selfish, and wrathful in nature. To that end, he would go around playing harmful pranks on the citizens of Whoville. For example, he would tamper their mail, make prank calls, and scaring intruders from entering into his lair. You soon find out that his negative traits came from his tragic memories and constantly being bullied by other students due to his appearance. He had a crush on the one classmate who shows compassion that he literally made a gift for her. However, in the following, he was still made fun of and that was his final straw. He got fed up with everyone treating him like an outcast and terrified everyone as he ran off to live on Mt. Crumpit. He represents the Moon Arcana as he is insecure as he thinks of himself as nothing but a monster to be hated because of his appearance.
NiGHTS: (I’ll be referring to NiIGHTS as they/them at this point since it is up to the player to interpret.) NiGHTS is a First-level Nightmaren who was created to do evil deeds, by destroying the world of dreams, and stealing visitors’ Ideya so their master, Wizeman the Wicked, could open a portal to the Waking World. Similar to Princess What’s-Her-Name, NiGHTS rebelled against their masters and their kinds, disagreeing on his idea of destruction. However unlike the Princess, they wouldn’t follow anyone's orders unless they wanted to despite being the savior of the world of dreams. They would most likely represent the Fortune Arcana as they try to run away from him from his plan and being free spirited.
Sam & Max: These two duo are the Freelance Police, Sam coming off as the more level headed and less violent, and Max being unhinged, uninhibited and near psychotic who enjoy violence and prefer the aggressive way of solving problems. Sam may also have a moment where he shows that in reality, he can be violent as Max. Max on the other hand has genuine care for his few friends especially Sam. He has a strong belief of protecting him and being quite possessive over their status as partners and best friends. The two of them will be sharing the Emperor Arcana. The reason for this is because as soon as someone stole Max's brain in “They Stole Max's Brain!”, Sam would completely snap and go on “Noir” mode in his investigation, beating a gorilla for showing the dog sign, to using a gun on a COPS member. Like I say for Max, he does have a soft spot by having some sympathy for a few of his friends.
The Geek: Darla “The Geek” Gugenheek is Sam and Max’s youngest personal scientist, laboratory technician, and assistant. She can be sarcastic with an air of confidence whenever they exasperate her with destructive interest and childish antics. Despite treating them with a laissez-faire demeanor, there are occasional times where she worries about their well-being and safety. She represents the Priestess Arcana as she has often been seen in the Sub-Basement of Solitude and secretly enjoys their company despite how terrible a situation is.
Wallace & Gromit: Wallace and Gromit are the brain duo who live in 62 West Wallaby Street, Wigan. Wallace is a brilliant inventor whose air-headedness when confronted with certain problems would be the one or two screw loose while being a kind-hearted, friendly, funny and eccentric man. Meanwhile, Gromit is more of the sensitive, intelligent, and resourceful of the duo. Although less eccentric, he’s much more aware than Wallace and has a better judge of character. To that, he does indeed do the actual work while he panics or gets into any more trouble and would also be shown to be very annoyed with him when the latter makes friends with untrustworthy people. The duo had been hired for a variety of jobs. In “A Close Shave”, they're window cleaners, in “The Curse of the Were-Rabbit”, they’re pest controllers, and in “A Matter of Loaf and Death”, They’re baker. I feel like they would share the Temperance Arcana, mainly because of Wallace. He would often eschew conventional methods of tackling simple problems by employing contraptions, with mixed results. Gromit on the other hand, let’s just say he’s more of his right hand man (or dog in this case) as I already mentioned earlier.
Charlie Brown: Charlie Brown is best to be described as the kid who never has things go his way, possibly due to him being unlucky and his defining qualities of being “wishy-washy”, and therefore often fails to go after what he really wants. Despite this, he always tries his best in everything he does, but rarely succeeds. He represents the Strength Arcana as it shows that he cares about his responsibilities and is willing to persevere to give everything he has.
Popuko & Pipimi: This two duo are always seen getting into over-the-top and crazy adventures in a series and parodies. Popuko is very short-tempered and often violent when she gets mad. Pipimi is usually calmer and more mature. She remains calm and often attempts to hold Popuko back when she’s about to do something out of rage. But before we continue, I would like to point out that they will be sharing the Empress Arcana due to some occasion (mainly Pipimi). Pipimi does show to be (as I mentioned before) mature but isn’t afraid to show some of her dark side as she can sometimes snap to mainly anyone who antagonizes Popuko on purpose. And Whenever Popuko was around her, she would drop her rude behavior and become somewhat docile. And when Pipimi upsets her one way or another, she instead mostly cries. It is clear that they both deeply care for each other as Popuko would act devastated and Pipimi would act as a mother figure to her.
Spamton G. Spamton: Spamton used to be a simple salesman until his fall, appearing to have lost his mind upon becoming broke and homeless or possibly interacting with the mysterious caller that made him popular. Because of this, his dialogue became typical obfuscated spam email text and many replacements. His arcana is the Hermit because when you select “FRIENDS” in his shop, he implies that he and Kris are already friends and don’t need anyone else. Probably because Kris is the only character who gets to interact with him personally.
Ika Musume: Ika Musume (Squid Girl in the english dub) is a self proclaimed “Messenger of the Ocean” who came to the surface to start the invasion after what humanity did to the sea, her home, teaching humanity a lesson for polluting the ocean. Even Though her plan backfires by causing damage to the beach house, which then she’s being forced to work there on the surface, she’ll be representing the Death Arcana. And before you start commenting about this, let me explain. When we go back to what humanity did to the ocean, polluting the ocean is a thing in real life. And what do ocean pollution do? It’s when people with a majority of it originate on land by the following but not all, oil spills, littering, and harmful to marine animals. That’s right, animal death is a thing in ocean pollution. She even has to explain her reasoning in the very first episode for her invasion. She cares about the ocean but was cut off by ocean pollution because of humanity.
Hopper: Hopper is the cruel leader of the grasshoppers, ruthless and violent, but also cunning, and thinks nothing of killing ants, whom he considers lower than dirt. He’s also aware that if he let one ant stand up to them, the whole colony would start a rebellion. And even though he gives them a second chance to provide food, that’s not what he's really looking for. He wants them to keep themself in line, making sure that he's above everyone else. That’s why he represents the Devil Arcana, because he doesn’t have any redeemable quality other than promising his late mother not to kill his brother Molt (despite his annoyance).
Randall Boggs: Randall is a chameleon/ gecko-like monster who came from the Monster World, Monstropolis before he was banished by his peers. In Monsters University, he was a kind, timid monster who would hangout with his former friend who’s his roommate before abandoning his friend to team up with “the cool kids” from expressing his desire to get in with the popular crowd. Inventully, he became bitter and enmity towards another monster, vowing it would be the last time he ever lost to him. Fast forward to Monsters Inc., he’s now more greedy, ruthless, sneaky, short-tempered, and competitive than before, sometimes being a selfish jerk who doesn’t care about a lot of people. What makes him worse is that he actually committed crimes in his job which caused him to be banished. He might as well be representing the Tower Arcana. The reason for this is because by the time he returns to Kingdom Heart III, it’s pretty clear that he has lost all respect towards everyone entirely. Unless… maybe not…
Syndrome: Syndrome (A.K.A. Buddy Pine) started off as his former favorite superhero’s huge fan as IncrediBoy, who wanted to be his sidekick. Unfortunately, he was turned down by being categorically and justifiably towards him. After being sent home, he stops idolizing him and becomes embittered, going from descending to megalomania, ultimately becoming Syndrome. This is probably similar to Randall as they both start off as innocent before becoming selfish later on in their life due to their desire. However unlike Randall where it shows that he is actually losing trust to everyone around him, Syndrome decides to take his matter to the next level, thinking that the only way to gain respect is to become a threat, which is why he would most likely represent the Judgment Arcana. Although the terms judgment can be described as common sense, awareness, logic, reason, etc., it can also be misfortune, penalty, or calamity. He knows he’s not only a threat, but he is pretty much aware of his rights and wrongs for certain things. First off, he has zero concerns over Mirage being held hostage by his former favorite because he knows he’s only bluffing. And second, he’s willing to risk several lives once he sets his Omnidroid free in the city for his ego and reap of benefits because what he believes about being a superhero is fighting bad guys, not saving people.
