"I couldn't remember anything after the plane had been hit.
Only that, I had been kneeling beside the drop door.
There was yelling and percussion of enemy fire against the hull.
The only conclusion I could rationalize was that a shell must have pierced the side of the plane where I had been; forcing me out. The fall must have been what shut me down.
As I rose to my stabilizing servos...realizing just how sore they were; I looked around to gain my bearings. After all, our ETA from Fort Wainwright was only 2 hours last I recalled. But instead, I found myself reluctantly in a state of awe. So this was Alaska. As the humans say - One of the last true wildernesses.
The sun rose steadily over the vast mountain range in the distance. It's rays of light refracting on the snow and ice like thousands of tiny crystals. There were no signs of civilization that the optic could see. There was only a thick blanket of snow untouched by man...or in my circumstance...Autobot.
Admittedly, I would have enjoyed being able to stay in the untainted beauty of this place longer, but, in our previous briefing before our transit, I was told that in this environment...the elements are unforgiving. The days are short and the nights too long. The temperatures which were already below freezing were well expected to drop farther as the sun would dip below the horizon.
The fort had to be just over that mountain range. And with the wind picking up, and snow blowing across my servos...I knew I didn't have any time to lose." - as told by Optimus Prime

Okay ladies and gentleman...
Since the winter season is here once again I thought it appropriate to paint our favorite Prime in a lovely snowy landscape. The only problem was -as I was painting this image I kind of had a one-shot idea pop into my head. SO...I guess you could say that there's a little bit of a story to go with the image.
And what can I say? I like putting Optimus in the snow! x3
