+FULL VIEW PLEASE+KYCS website compilation screens
study #2
total time: roughly a week with plenty of breaks.
aiming for a refreshing pop feel that aint too dark or has beach-like colors.
the screens shown here are respectively the enter screen, the initial navigation screen, and the first of 4 main sections (main section). it would be impossible for me to describe what will happen here in terms of animations since well, i havnt thought of everything yet (just have these ideas in my head).
id like to thank my bro (oh he has a DA account but hasnt done anything yet
look him up in the future, name is silentdog) for some color advice on this. ok i was supposed to put this under flash since it was made with macromedia flash 8 BUT its not the actual file, its just the screens so i think it belongs here o.O
made with flash 8, Adobe photoshop cs2 and my wacom graphire 3 (very minimal, used it for some of the leaves).

The design is nice. Well done!
The actual interface design is lacking. The buttonized navigation will be quite puzzling to most of the users. Why use it, when you have a regular navigation on the last screen?
P.S.: But, please try not to use flash for websites. There's nothing more unpleasant than to navigate a flash "website" for more than your viewing pleasure. It's not only, that they don't get indexed by web search engines, but you can't search the text inside the pages plus a myriad of other usability failures.

however i will strongly oppose that notion not to use flash for websites. i believe it is a matter of preferrence whether to use flash or not. besides, some sites dont aim for functionality alone, aesthetics is also important for viewing pleasure and i believe a balance of both, whether its flash or html, proves what a good site is or what a bad site is. regarding searching for text, if you'd structure your site well enough, people dont need to wander around your site looking for stuff. Again, not saying flash > everything else, it's simply a matter of preferrence and i dont think anyone should dictate what to use when it comes to expressing your creativity. just my 2 cents.

the problem wit the 3rd layout is that if you dont have much to write its not gonna look good.. like that it looks fine and imagine if u only wrote a couple of lines it would look empty and not well thought out.. won't make sense.... i like the color scheme, and the logo at the top looks pretty nice, im not crazy about the middle part.. keep working on it!!

oh and you wont see it here but the 3rd panel where you will see text can and most likely will contain some pics in it (like thumbnails and such) that would accompany the text.

This is very lovely, the colors and everything are nice. Apart everything looks perfect but...
When you start putting everything together as one website, well...
On the first pannel you have stars, circles, arrows and bubble looking things, on the second pannel you don't have anything but circles with the bubble looking things in them. What about the stars and arrows, You at least need to add the stars to kind of bring it together. Make it look like one layout. It's kind of plain compaired to your splash page.
Then you have the third pannel. you have the stars and stuff that you used in your splash page but what's up with the leaves? They just seem kind of...added? They don't go well with the rest of your theme at all. They just look....wrong. Also the texture of your background is off, you know that yellow, crumpled paper looking stuff. The rest of your layout is so smooth. The "old" paper look just isn't working with the rest of it.
I'm not meaning to put you down or anything. Just trying to help. Like I said, it is stunning but together, as one layout, it just doesn't work.

great design concept and very well handled color choices - they do make a pleasant scale from darker orange color that is yet still very light to a very very light white-blue. However entrance page and the four cirlcles main menu are part of one website. the last image does not seem to be part of that same website. It got great design, great colors - but its a different website comparing to the first two, the theme is not carried through.

i actually looked for some floral patterns for the textures. the leaves were handmade

fair play.. i have the maddest wallpaper on my bedroom walls.. its so ghetto. we moved in here to fix this place up but everythings from the dark ages 
would make a nice texture though

nope. this is the 2nd study for this project. didnt post the first since it didnt come out nicely and i scrapped it early in its design phase
