first of all, thank you ^^
and yes, i do know shading, (as you can see here --> [link] ), but i figured that this picture wouldn't that good with my style of shading in it
and i actually have done a few vectors before (like this one here --> [link] ) lol

ohnn.. well I guess since vectoring and shading wasnt part of your assignment in your class.. but it was just my point of view. How do you like your courses so far?

Heres an Idea'
The Pony World is in 1.78:1.
Our World is in 1.37:1 (1.33:1 when watching in 1.78:1)
Once Pinkie Pie breaks the 4th Wall. The Side Bars collapse to make the combined world in 1.85:1^
And the rest is in 1.85:1 (Including the animation which then starts to get animated in 1.66:1 after the 4th wall break in though the effect is made to work on both 1.85:1 Screens and 1.66:1 Screens)
^On 1.66:1 Screens the bars collapse to make a 1.66:1 Image Of Course. Also, the effect is ruined when viewed in 4by3 on the Pan&Scan Version due to the effects and LiveAction being done in VistaVision.
That would work It would be like in The Simpsons movie except instead of being in Scope, It would be in Flat Widescreen.

Awesome, but could use shading on the "wall" from all the pieces flying in front of it. Very cool concept!

yeah, but that would of been a bit difficult for me XD

minimoose772 In reply to MetaDragonArt [2012-05-13 16:07:29 +0000 UTC]
quick technique: put all of those little bits into a group folder, copy group folder (put the copy below the original group), flatten/merge layers into single layer, put a clipping mask layer above that merged layer with a black fill over it (paint bucket tool), merge down, bump the opacity to like 15%, then free transform for proper perspective.
I guess it sounds like a lot of work when I write it out, but in reality it'd take less than 2 minutes if you did it that way. Just remember, clipping masks are your friends.

haha i use clipping masks in EVERYTHING i do XD
the main reason i didnt get to extensive in detail was because of the fact i had a deadline to hand my project tot he teacher XD lol

that's good, it's a pretty basic function that saves infinite amounts of time, and I definitely understand rushing for a deadline.

my personal favorite options are the clipping mask and the normal mask lol XD
