Is this what used to pass for pixel art? Ha! Those really were simpler times.

I've come a long way, I guess! Pretty happy with how this came out, though I gotta say, the rose-tinted glasses have come off a bit in the intervening years. There's just no way around it, folks- Gen 1 kinda sucks.

But, for captivating my nine-year-old heart, for throwing me into a world that I dreamed to explore, and for building a brand loyalty that has me still playing every new Pokémon adventure 17 years later, I still tip my hat to you, Red and Blue. Oh- and Yellow too.
