Chances are if they're a fan of TF2, they've played the update, and they're at least aware of the SFM. If they've done neither, they're not likely very interested in the game because they are neither playing it nor paying attention to what's going on within it.

You mean the one that promised a new map with a new gamemode and new weapons, but only gave us a shitty re-skin of the pan, sign, bat outta hell, smash hammer and some (some) cosmetics plus a stupid taunt. Oh did I mention they dropped the map..... Yeah I loved that update.
I don't think you were there for the hype...but if you were..I'm surprised by how you can look on the bright sides of things.

Yeah but I hardly ever hold game companies to their promises -- especially since they had an update just a few months back that did both of those things.
The way I see it, if you didn't pay for anything, you shouldn't be too upset. Sure, it sucks, but it's not like you wasted time or money on anything.
