A lover of all things magical, Twilight hails from a long line of sorcerers reputedly chased from Canterlot for swapping out super charged baboon hearts. She sees the battlefield as another means to run her experiments and sate her boundless curiosity, and considers healing merely a side-effect of said experiments.
The thing I love about Twimedic is that it just fits Twilight almost to a 'T'. From what I've seen in the cartoons, almost all of Twilight's magic is educational or utility in some way; she does have a 'combat'spell or two, but most of what she does is conjuration and/or transmogrification. As such, I picture her sort of taking these seemingly benign spells and doing absurd, even dark things with them in the same way the Medic does medicine; all in the name of SCIENCE!

Oh they're going to be the best of "friends". For one thing if BLU Spy Rarity doesn't ever need to be conscious about her weight since she Twilight is a medical profession.
Of course she'll end up a living head in her fridge, but still almost no body weight.
