Very cute and slightly awkward dating moment going on here, I'mma have to google this Sniper VA thing to appreciate the full context of this! Personally I'm imagining this sheep having an Alan Rickman-like kind of voice and speaking in a slowly drawn out and deep tone, as though plotting something devious. This pic is playing out even crazier in my head than I thought as a result

The short of the thing with the VA is that, according to him, Sniper's first three girlfriends were sheep, he has a mutation that lets him pee more than he drinks (he compares it to a breeder reactor, where it makes more plutonium than it actually uses), he didn't attend any sort of sniper school and just got super good by shooting at sheep, rocks, and the occasional wallaby, but since he liked sheep he started shooting people instead... that's the gist of it anyway. Not sure if it's canon or not since it was the VA and all, but it made for an entertaining picture if nothing else.

In fact this girlfriend sheep, shoot in rocks, sheep and wallabies, referring to the sniper is not canon in the valve, it was a momentary story that the voice of sniper,the voice actor john patrick lowrie create a comic moment, the source is a MAGfest 2013 if not I'm mistaken , so there's no such thing in canon history,Was more questions and answers where the voice actor created on the hour, pulling some old canonical things, like mentioning being from australia all the time.
Considering all this new Zealand thing and different country that was canonized in 2014.

The Sniper's story didn't change with New Zealand though; it was just added to what we already knew.
That said, you're probably right that the VA was making the whole 'first three girlfriends were sheep' thing up, but some pretty weird stuff has found its way into Team Fortress 2; I mean, the Administrator was designed by a fan (who now works as the comic artist for TF2 because Valve liked their art so much). Either way, it made me laugh, so I drew this.
That aside, the entire "shooting rocks and wallabies and sheep" thing might as well be canon, because it pretty much sounds like what we know of Sniper's backstory already; that he grew up/spent years of his life in the Australian Outback, presumably shooting things. Given the Sniper's general character, it also doesn't seem too far fetched to assume he's not much of a people person either.

Yes, and let's analyze, if it was to be canon in the valve, look at the date 2013 to 2017, I doubt it will turn.
I'm not saying that you can not draw a parody of mlp with that, but it does not really represent the sniper or so little that has happened.
Something that would be interesting to draw would be the fluttermedic with the baby baboon, recently that left in the last HQ, that is in the lap of the doctor sleeping.

Actually, in TF2 lore most Australians are portrayed to be more like Saxton Hale, enjoying fighting and having mustaches (even the ladies) and having no real interest in intellectual pursuits. The only reason they outpaced the world in technology is because they live(d) on the biggest Austrium deposit in the world, and without that they are ordinary people. Seeing as the Sniper is neither super beefy nor has chest-hair shaped like Australia or New Zealand, it seems like a safe assumption that he did not live near this deposit.
The Sniper may have been born in New Zealand, but he wasn't raised there, he was raised in Australia, in the Outback. The Sniper is still the same character he has always been. I don't understand where you're pulling that the Sniper learned hunting and shooting from his father, because literally nothing in TF2 lore suggests that, in fact his accusations of the Sniper being a crazed gunman would imply otherwise. There is also nothing to indicate that the Sniper doesn't like animals, but he has plenty to show he doesn't like people; particularly the fact he has a plan to kill everyone he meets shows he generally doesn't like and/or trust people. I mean, presumably there's a reason he hunts people instead of animals, right?
Valve doesn't really have a set deadline to canonize anything. They can totally change anything they want at any time.
I didn't say this represents the Sniper, I said I drew it based on a thing I saw that made me laugh.
Why would I draw Fluttermedic? Fluttermedic is boring. Fluttershy isn't the type to surgically steal her friends' souls and graft them to her own, or bring a dead pony back to life, or experiment on her friends and/or teleport bread. That is the sort of weirdness that feels more at home in Twilight's hooves.

You're literally arguing that Fluttershy, an animal caretaker, is more inclined to strange and magnificent science that borders on the magical than Twilight, a wizard/scientist princess with a lab in her basement who Jerry-rigged a portal from garbage.
My problem here is that the entire idea basically gives Fluttershy traits that are normally associated with Twilight while simultaneously reducing Twilight to a mere fragment of her character. You end up with Fluttershy who is more intelligent, more "mad scientist" than Twilight. Say a game had two classes; a wizard who was skilled with healing and defensive magic, and an archer who spent his entire life in the wild hunting, would you make Fluttershy the wizard and Twilight the archer?
Fluttershy knows little to nothing about biology or physiology. She studies animals, but that's Zoology, not biology. She knows even less about engineering and chemistry.
In Team Fortress 2, the Australians' intelligence comes entirely from Australium. None of it is "them." They state this in the comics. Australium has an enhancing effect on those who are exposed to it for a long time, but said individuals also exhibit other traits; increased muscle mass, facial hair, chest-hair, and a love for fist-fighting. The Sniper has none of these.

I couldn't find it myself, only found the transcript, and even it was kind of difficult to find. Best I can say to do is google it? I might hunt it down again later, but it was about more than Sniper dating sheep, also had stuff like apparently he has a mutation that makes him pee more than he drinks, and he became a crack shot by shooting at rocks, sheep, and wallabies for years, but he liked sheep, and he hated people, so he stopped shooting sheep and started shooting people.

Basically, the VA for the Sniper said the Sniper's first three girlfriends were sheep, and that after you dated a sheep you washed your car with it, and that it was a bonding experience, so he switched from sniping sheep to sniping people.
