Can I just say somethin' real quick about Twilight Velvet's face. As painful as it is to say it, I know this feeling. Some while ago, not really short, not really far off, but I was stuck in a hospital in a diabetic coma. My own mother had that look on her face when I finally woke up. I'm happy to say I'm still alive. I plan to stick around for a damn long while, but I know Miss Velvet's feelings right now.

I remember a part further in a hospital, when they realize she was actually alive it pissed off Applejack something fierce. No kidding she was about ready to buck her head right off of her shoulders.

I thought I saw something odd but wanted to continue reading the story but it nagged me so bad that I had to look at it a second time!!! I wonder if anyone else figured it out. I love it!!! Wonder plot twist and to see how much it hurt Twi is probably the best thing because it shows that the decision that she made also hurt her to see her friends hurt. I don't like how Apple Jack reacted....however I can see her doing that. It's so very Apple jack!! Anyways, I need to get back to reading this story. Found it this morning at 8 AM and it's now 10:30(I haven't done anything except read this) and I have to be at work at 2:30. Hopefully I can make it to the end before I start work!! Wish me luck!!

I'm not a very emotional guy, but my god, your drawing skills have improved so much and the amount of emotion in the characters' expressions is so convincing and saddening. You sir, are capable of making someone like me shed manly tears, and that means you are pretty freaking good at what you do. Also Twilight's mom's face. Oh god, the feels.

That and the way her mouth is drawn. It makes it look as if she's simultaneously screaming and sobbing...damn, that's heartbreaking...

this whole comic is heartbreaking but i think this was the moment that pinched it for me. The absolute devastation in her expression. Really struck a cord with me. It isn't really Twilight death scene that hits you in this comic, its watching her friends try to deal with it, trying to move on. But damn seeing her mom really drives the nail home. That a look that tells you that nothing, NOTHING is going to be all right again for her.

Something occurred to me when I was thinking about people comparing Twilight to Sweetie Belle in this scene. Who did Twilight's makeup? If it was Rarity, then the resemblance to Rarity's sister may be intentional...symbolic...representing Rarity seeing Twilight as a sister.
