All the vectors used to make this were not made by me, but found at various places around the internet - mostly through Google searches and ponychan's /pic/ - and if anyone sees one they know they made and wants me to credit them they can message me and I will gladly do so.

Nothing, really. "Mana" is just a fantasy term that refers to magic or life force, and I just threw it in because it makes slightly more sense then the elements having electron orbitals.

Oh, lol. All the most 'magical' ponies' cutie marks seem to have rather small mana levels, so I thought it might'a meant something, like maybe the fewer mana particles present, the less resistant to channeling magical energies, or some other sort of arcano-babble. :P

I didn't put OCs in here because I wanted to stay within canon as much as possible. Bringing in too much that is purely from the fandom - especially specific parts of it - can be very alienating. And anyway there's enough OCs flying around to fill up their own table, so I didn't want to put in a few and have people ask "why X and not Y?" over and over again.

This kind of annoys me. There are elements like Tungsten, Iron, Titanium and Iodine that are present yet are in the wrong places, however 'obvious' elements like Carbon and Platinum are in the correct places. I can't tell if this is deliberate or what. Also, if the electronic configurations are going to be written out, at least write something along the lines of '1s^2' or '2s^2 3p^6', and including the d block's configuration of, for instance, 4s^2, 3d^10, 4p^2 (which, by the way, happens to be Germanium).
I guess your audience isn't all that into chemistry, so I don't really think you'll take this into much consideration. But think of us chemist fans!

Honestly, I didn't try to match it up to any sort of real chemistry beyond the Elements of Harmony = Nobles Gases. Up 'till this point I was just trying to actually produce 118 different elements. I intend to update this with a final version that has some actual logic behind it's arrangement.
