"Vanda remained silent as she was looking at the surface of the little stream she was standing next to. Her sparkling eyes however lacked the brightness, which surrounded them whenever Ember took a look at the young vixen.
-At first, I thought I was following you, so I could help you take Diamond and Soot home safely, before they reach the farm they are taken to right now. I saw this selflessness you have shown each other, which I rarely experienced ever since I'm living on the street -she said, breaking the silence surrounding them. -But now... I'm not even sure I want to help Ash achieve this goal.
Vanda's face was clearly showing her moral dilemma she was facing at this point now. Her gestures were reflecting her feelings beginning to burst out more and more. Ember could do nothing, but listen to whatever the girl has to say.
-I don't know what I should do right now... I can't even see my own reflection clearly...
Ember was looking at Vanda's reflection. She examined her face and her reflection thoroughly while he was turning his head back and forth. He looked at her with a surprised look on his face while he was responding to the young lady.
"-But your reflection's never gonna tell you the truth. You only need to flick it a little, and your whole face becomes so blurry you can't even decide who you are looking at. See? -said Ember, as he barely touched the surface of the calm stream, making tiny ripples, which made Vanda's face completely undistinguishable under the bright moonlight. Vanda, seeing the poor naive-looking little guy, remained silent. She suspected she knew what Ember had in mind, but she wanted to make sure to avoid other surprises he might cause. Ember continued the conversation.
"-Ash also regrets some of his decisions, just like us, but I've never seen him hesitate when there was a decision to make. He even blames himself about Soot's capture, even if he wouldn't admit it to anyone. And about Diamond... He wants to save her too, because I want her to survive and be safe.
Vanda was not interested in looking at her own reflection anymore, she was more interested in hearing Ember out. Ember felt a bit ashamed about his honesty, but he continues regardless.
"-I might not be a great speaker, but if you really want to go, I don't want to hold you back... But I hope you know, that without your help, we have no chance of rescuing Diamond and Soot and finding the place they are held captured.
Vanda laughed at Ember's last sentence with a tiny hint of cynicism in her tone.
-I'm glad there's someone who's still aware of that... -said Vanda with a little fling. As soon as she realized Ember's embarrassment, she immediately apologized. -Sorry... I didn't mean to...
Ember looked back at her with a friendly smile after the apology.
"-No offense taken. And I hope you know, that I'm counting on you. Just like Smokie, Soot, Diamond, presumably Onyx... And even Ash too, no matter how strange that sounds. And I think that's more important than a silly picture you see in a stream."

A little piece from my story I'm currently working on. For our collab with , I chose one of my favourite scene from the story itself. In this picture, you can see Ember, and one of my other characters yet to be introduced, Vanda. I hope I'll have the chance to properly show you soon.
Working with was really great, she was really helpful, and contributed much to everything, and I still envy her for her use of colors. Her pictures are pretty. Go check her out if you haven't already.

"Vanda hosszasan hallgatott, ahogyan a vízfelszínt bámulta. Csillogó szemei ezúttal nélkülözték azt a ragyogást, amely minduntalan a tekintetén ült, valahányszor Parázs korábban a fiatal lány arcára pillantott.
-Eleinte azért jöttem utánatok, hogy tudjak segíteni nektek visszahozni Gyémántot és Kormot, mielőtt még a farmra kerülnének. Láttam bennetek azt az önzetlenséget, amit egymás felé mutattatok. Nem nagyon láttam hasonlót, mióta az utcán élek -törte meg a csendet végül Vanda. - De ezek után nem vagyok benne biztos, hogy akarok-e segíteni Hamunak egyáltalán.
Vanda arca immáron nyíltan jelezte még Parázs számára is a belső vívódását. A fiatal nőstény gesztikulációi érzelmeinek felszínre törését egyre erősebben és erősebben tükrözték. Parázs egyelőre nem tudott mást tenni, mint figyelni őt.
-Nem látom tisztán már azt se, hogy mit kéne tennem... Még a tükörképét se látom a vízben...
Parázs ekkor a patak felé pillant, majd Vandára, és a látottakat próbálta összevetni ide-oda járatva a fejét a két kép között. Arca meglepettséget sugárzott, ahogy Vanda aggodalmaira reagált.
"-De hiszen a víz sosem mond igazat. Elég egy picit megpöckölni és máris zavaros az arcod -szólalt meg a fiú, majd mancsát a patak vizéhez érintve fel is zavarja enyhén annak eddig nyugodt vizét. Az érintés helyén keletkezett apró fodrozódások teljesen kivehetetlenné tették Vanda tükörképét a tiszta holdfényben. Vanda egyelőre csöndben maradt, látván a srác naivitását. Érezte, mi lehet a dolog mögött, de érdekelte, mit tud mondani neki, amivel még meg tudja őt lepni. Parázs folytatta beszédét. - Hamu ugyanúgy bánja némelyik tettét, de nem látta még sosem kételkedni, ha döntenie kellett. Koromért is magát hibáztatja, még ha nem is vallja be teljesen. Épp ezért akarja annyira megmenteni őt. Gyémántot pedig... azért, mert én szeretném, hogy ő is megmeneküljön.
Vandát már nem köti le a zavaros víz látványa, érdeklődően fordul Parázs felé, ahogy hallgatja annak szavait. Parázs látszik, hogy zavarban van az őszintesége miatt, de tovább folytatja.
"-Nem bánok túl jól a szavakkal, de hogyha el akarsz menni, akkor én nem szeretnélek visszatartani... De nélküled semmi esélyünk megtalálni a helyet, ahol fogva tartják Gyémántot, és az öcsémet.
Vanda enyhe cinizmussal a hangjában nevetett fel az utolsó mondat hatására.
-Legalább van, aki ezt észben tartja még... -jegyzi meg szúrósan, de a fiú arcát látva egy picit elszégyelli magát. -Ne haragudj, nem úgy gondoltam...
Parázs barátságosan mosolygott vissza Vandára, mikor a lány elnézést kért tőle.
"-Nem baj, nem szívtam mellre. És remélem tudod, hogy én számítok rád. Ahogyan Füstös, Korom, Gyémánt, feltehetőleg Ónix... és még Hamu is, bármilyen furcsán hangzik is. És ez szerintem sokkal fontosabb, mint egy vacak kép, amit a vízben látsz. "

Egy kis részlet egyik történetemből. -val való közös rajzunk témájának egyik kedvenc jelenetemet választottam ki. A képen Parázs látható, egy eddig még be nem mutatott karakteremmel, Vandával. Remélhetőleg egyszer még lesz lehetőségem rendesen bemutatni őt is.
-val jó volt együtt dolgozni, nagyon segítőkész és közreműködő volt, és még most is irigylem, hogy milyen szépen tudja a színeket használni. Aki nem ismerné, nézzen rá nyugodtan, megéri.
A képhez én adtam a témát, és a lineartot. Minden más keze munkáját dicséri.
