I will admit, I actually had no interest in the SC series until I came across a preview of Soul Calibur 2. I read into the game more and came across Ivy and her weapon. I was facinated by this unique weapon because I have never seen anything like it.
Are you planning on getting SC4?

Well ... to be honest : I did even know what Soul Calibur was , until I saw a friend of mine playing Soul Calibur II . It looked at first sight to be just another fight-game , but the moment I saw Ivy , i just HAD to HAVE it
It is a unique weapon , but it actually is not the first game where a character uses a whip-sword . In another game (I forgot the name , sorry !) , a character called Janne d'Arc uses a similar sword-whip .
She may be the first one to use it , BUT : Ivy rules bigtime non the less
I would LOVE to have SC3 and SC4 , but the problem is that we only have a Gamecube and a Wii here . And SC4 is not available for these 2 ...

I agree...I thought at first that Soul Calibur was just another fighting game. When I started to play I soon realized that there aren't very many 3-D fighters like this. The control and fluidity of the game is pretty hard to come by in good fighters.
I think Ivy's game was the best in SC:II. In SC:III she played a lot differently with an almost complete new move set. It was a real switch for me to get used to.
It's too bad that you can't play SC:III or SC:IV. However, since you have the Wii there is still another way you can use Ivy. There is a game called Soul Calibur: Legends. It's more of a platform hack & slash game (i.e. Devil May Cry, God of War etc. type game). It features a few SC characters.

As for Ivy's face. It's not only her's that looks different. If you're familiar with the characters in SC:II, you'll notice that those characters that are now in SC:IV have a different look as well.

cant really tell... results will be out in october,,, how i wish,,,, im planning to join another, deadline this 29th,,, and i havent started the 15x20 watercolor painting! oh my... things are so tight in school... deadlines evrywhere, ive been awake for 48 hours and still going...
