Description
So, back in the summer of β14 I saw a peculiar post making rounds on Tumblr. Apparently, back before Bandai started working on the fifth Sailor Moon season, the R and S main character designer, Youichi Fukano, drew an additional design for Sailor Moon. Sadly, it wasnβt accepted, but a couple photos of the actual art designs remained and got circulated around. They can be seen here.The design looked absolutely lovely, so I drew a fanart of it, which took me about half a year to finish due to a sad mixture of art block/depression/dealing with crappy life circumstances. However, in December I tried to start drawing more actively (thus a new blog!) and, finally, this fanart got finished. Enjoy!

Haha, yeah, saw it. I drew this sketch before Fukano published the full design, and had to pretty much design the lower half of her outfit by myself.
Admittedly, I like my own version better, because Sailor Moon just doesn't look good without her boots. I like the skirt, but the shoes he gave her are.... meh.

Oh man, now I'm wondering what Chibi Moons and the rest of the scouts designs would have looked like.

I designed her skirt and boots; apparently, the finished design had her wear high heels similar to Venus's. But yeah, I wish there were more similar designs by this dude. They'd look amazing.
