Description
This particular drawing is somewhat of a long-term project. I drew the lineart back in January of this year, and then slowly but surely found the time to color the characters. However, I couldn't decide what kind of background it should have - and I ended trying everything, from opal sparkles to kaleidoscope textures. Ultimately, all my ideas failed, and, after literally a dozen attempts and nine months of slaving over this thing, I found a very awesome pack of space brushes and went for the background you see now.I've always liked the idea of drawing Chibi-Usa and Chibi-Chibi as adults (or as teens, in this case).

P.S. When I was 14, I drew a fanart of the same characters with gouache. I decided to uproot my paper stacks, find it and scan it, so that you could see the mighty power of progress. LO AND BEHOLD:

Thank you! It was fun to draw and color each girl (besides, hey, I got to draw all the Sailor uniform versions AND a Serenity dress - though, I should draw Princess Serenity, since her outfit has always been my favorite). I'm glad you like the result!

To be quite honest, I'm my own worst critic. Drawing can be fun sometimes, but at times it makes me wish I never started. I wonder if you feel like that as well.

Sometimes I do feel like that. I think all artists get that way sometimes. But what makes a good artist is being able to push passed that and stay optimistic and remember that practice makes better and better means happier.

Hah. I'm torn about her - she seems to be such a brat in the series, but she evens out in the 4th season and she's much nicer in the manga. I do sort of like her, though.
