I'm sort of back from the hiatus. This is Grace Corton, the High Witch of the Michigan Wizardry Council and a mentor for the protagonists' class. The rest of it I'll keep in secrecy until I finish the last human design for Overworld.

I was sort of lucky with this dress, because I had an almost-clear image of it in my head before I started laying this design out on paper. Though, initially I planned to make it grey-and-red instead of grey-and-golden (and perhaps a little more militaristic).
It's fun designing clothes :>

It sounds like so much fun to think of new fashion designs, the colors and the way they fit around a person's body... I've never had a knack for it. Then again I haven't tried very hard. >___>

It's not like I'm good at it either. Drawing clothes has been my lifelong problem (I can imagine things but not draw them; also I hate filling my designs with small details).
I could look for some tutorials you might find useful, if you want.

Your faces and greyscale shading make me envious. o_o

I can tell you how to make greyscale shading easier :>
Since I typically add color to a design before pencil-shading the outline, I convert the colored version to black-and-white mode and use the result as a guideline of sorts. It helps me realize how to actually tone things right (since sometimes I can't really pick a value for greyscale mode of certain colors easily).
And regarding faces... I often use references or tutorials. Or end up looking into a mirror and making those faces myself :>
