I've wondered what a Romulan Bird of Prey would look like from oh, say, fifty to a hundred years before Kirk's time. To me, this is a good example of what such an earlier vessel would look like. Very nice and imaginative design.

Well, thanks to Masao Okazaki for his delightful design, and thanks to you for sharing it with us. What fun.

I make a giant ship with an axle at the back, and giant sharp things at the front, and have it eat the Cabbage...

Or a goat. Goats love cabbage!

Not quite.
It's true that the main gun (a plasma accelerator) can take out just about any target with a single shot. It's pretty much as close to a Wave Motion Gun as you get in the Trek universe. However, the CABBAGE (Earth Alliance reporting name; I think the Romulan class name is 'Tyrant' or something similar) also carries a large number of marines and assault ships.
She was designed to be an all-in-one conquest solution, capable of killing any starship, bombing planetary defences out of existence and then inserting the first wave of assault troops. The disadvantage is that it manoeuvred like a cow and, if its first attack missed, was a sitting duck for counter-strikes, particularly from the small warp patrol ships and long-range fighters that Earth used from the middle of the war onwards.

I don't know what is exactly. I've heard of it though. (Usually in reference to Russians) But I'm assuming it's made with cabbage

I used this mesh to get danny into modelling, it was the first ship he made in lightwave Its an excellent shape for the beginner modeller don't you think? I like your bird design, he had a shuttlebay door on his in its place think yours looks miles better. Keep up the good work mate
