Description
This is the eighth page of a project long-time-in-the-planning, the "chapter 2" sequel to the Rimworld Power Armour Studies I did in the summer of 2020 . Many things came in the way of this project, and after several delays I allowed myself to mostly forget about it until when master Greywind started the Hesters series of commissions. Now, after a long time spent adding details to the semi-fictional colony that would serve as its backdrop, the second chapter of the Power Armour Studies is here, featuring Tiandriel, Imperial Hypatissa and Lady Consul of House Dracondar, and her colony of Eurusium.

Page 8 showcases the two power armour suits from the mod Vanilla Armours Expanded, Siegebreaker and Trooper. The Power Armour Studies is as much of a lore-writing exercise as it is a visual aesthetics study, and my goal is to provide all the armours listed with a cohesive classification scheme and fictional history while not deviating too much from their original descriptions. Two maidservants from the Housekeeping Section, María and Sarah, modelled the suits for us.

Speaking of pirates, what power armour do they have access to anyway? The answer is "whatever they can find," including outdated last-gen suits.
SIEGEBREAKER worn by María
The most distinct feature of the suit is the shield-emitter built into its plackart, which was the earliest use of a personal shield in the field.
While superceded by Cataphract armour a long time ago, the Siegebreaker model still remains in use by various groups, including pirates. Developed during the Mechanoid Wars in an attempt to bring marine-like armour to ground combat, the frequent need to recharge forced its retirement.

Tia: Only two of you? Where's Husni?
María: She's in the biosculptor. She isn't out for another 11 days.
Tia: Again?

TROPPER ARMOUR worn by Sarah
Some surfacers have even dug up the old Thorakitai EMACS from abandoned imperial armouries as these millenia-old relics still work against small-arms fire. I just hope they don't depend on it against scythers!
Then again, there are even older relics in use...
