Hi guys! It's been a long time since my last submission, but it's because I'm currently involved in some cool Windows 8 stuff!
Anyhow, as many of us know the VLC team want to bring its famous media player to Windows 8 (metro) and Windows Phone, but they need to reach at least $40,000. There are few days remaining, I hope you guys feel your selves generous and help the team.

In the last few days the team added a couple of mockups, the first versions wasn't bad but I thought that it needs some tweaks. I'd like if people can choose between a dark or a light theme. Hope you like it!

Update 1 (24th December 2012):
The Team has announced that they reached the $40.000 goal! Thanks to all the 2500+ people who contributed!
The VLC Team expect to release VLC "Metro" in April 2013.
Update 2 (30th December 2012):
The campaign raised £47,056! Many thanks to the 3,080 people all over the world who made this possible
The VLC Team will start working on the app very soon.

Anyhow you're free to make a Windows 7 version inspired from this one.

I support this. I've been using VLC for years now. And it'd be cool to see a actual Metro(Win8 UI) version of it sometime soon....as long as all the features of the desktop version comes with it like "skins" or in Metro's caswe a possible re-color feature allowing you to at least change the background of the player or "color" of it? Like u got the screenshots showing a white and a black background, but a possible "change color" feature would be cool or maybe be able to add our own image to the background.

Hmmm, personally I think that using some Accent colors (something like Windows 8's start screen) would be a good move.
We are talking about VLC 1.0 after all, I'm pretty sure that the VLC Team will continue to support the app adding new features and fixing eventual bugs
