I think Valve has much better designers Also, this is quite an old mockup. I'd like to remake it in the future.

OMG, I cry when I think about it does not exist that's why I hate mockups, they look amazing, brilliant, but you can't have them. I loved it, my first reaction was
WOW.

Do you know when you will have the first release ready?

Sorry, this it's just a concept. Anyhow you can look for the Steam Center app in the marketplace. As for now the app has some performance issues but the UI is partially made by me.

Unfortunately I don't think Steam's going to come to Windows 8 for a few years (at least not at this level). I don't know if you can launch desktop applications from a Metro app, so that could be a major issue...Maybe if they did something similar to Google Chrome's method it might work, though.

Well, that's probably true, however from the metro version of Internet Explorer you already can launch the desktop version
(just by clicking page tools and selecting "view on desktop")
What's the Chrome's method?

I'm not sure how it's done, but when you download the Google Chrome Developer Channel release and set it as your default browser, a Metro app gets added to the start screen.

Same behaviour as Internet Explorer if it's not set as default browser the metro app will not appear on the start screen anymore.
However I'm not sure if this is a good idea, in this way nobody can have two metro apps for browsing :-/

Yea, I think the default browser thing is stupid. It's supposed to be for some security reason, but I'd like to be able to run IE and Chrome side by side.
