Description
This was quite the pleasant surprise.
Recently (05/18/2014) I visited an entertainment store to check and see if the latest issue of The Powerpuff Girls was in yet (it was, in case anyone is wondering)
THEN, I notice a comic book issue of the other classic CN cartoon that I favor apart from PPG: Dexter's Laboratory.
Apparently this is the debut issue. and, as I saw no "1 0f ?" on the cover, I can only assume this will be an ongoing series like PPG and Samurai Jack is.
It should be worth noting that IDW Publishing appears to be well aware of how The Powerpuff Girls and Dexter's Laboratory share the same universe.
as one of the alternate covers for this very issue ad Blossom, Bubbles, Buttercup and Professor Utonium on the cover with Dexter himself.
though, a much better example was in the recent issue of PPG (#9) where Dexter and Dee Dee made a cameo appearance attending the same music concert the girls were (Well, technically Dee Dee was. Dexter wa sonly there because he was "electronically shackled to Dee Dee)
there was a funny joke where Dee Dee and Bubbles commented positivly on each other's hair style (the gag is that both girls are blondes with pigtails)
as for the story of THIS comic..Dexter is having the usual issues with Dee Dee and her destructive behavior. and, experiments with a new device called a "The Dreamwish-O-Tron 5000" to remedy that.
Oh, and I only just noticed that on the inside cover, IDW supply internet links to their various webpages.
one of them is a DeviantART page: [idwpublishing.deviantart.com]
I knew DA was a public, legitiment internet establishment.

I wish they did more shows on Dexter and PPG in recent years. I'm glad they are keeping them alive in comics at least.

Yes, I suppose continuing a series through Comic Books IS cheaper than episodes (for one thing, they don't need to pay actor fees)
I myself was wondering when they (IDW) was going to get around to Dexter's Lab, when they were already doing PPG and Samurai Jack.
What's next for them? Cow & Chicken?, Time Squad?, I.M Weasel?
Its untelling, really.

Ah, nostalgia! Dexter's Laboratory was definitely one of the cartoons that made my childhood awesome! (Thank God for the Boomerang channel)

I should give this a read maybe. While I never grew up with Dexter's Laboratory when I was younger, I'm glad to say I'm enjoying it today.

You won't have to wait long, as Issue #02 is already here.

Season One is on DVD (though, for some reason the other seasons are not.)
Most episodes you can find on Youtube and other sites..but, not ALL, sadly (the best bet to watch the full series is digital download from Amazon.com)

Not unless you have a Freemake program, and are lucky enough to find full episodes on YouTube and Dailymotion.

I wouldn't put it past here. SOME ballet routines can be quite "extreme."

I found them at a Hastings entertainment store. but, I assume they can be found at any retail story that sells comic books.
I am certain stores like: Beguiling Books and Art, Hot Topic, Newbury Comics, Double Midnight, Third Eye Comics, Mile High Comics, Phantom Variant, Jetpack Comics and Larry's Comics sell them as well, as they each had unique covers for PPG.
But, really I would recommend searching the IDW Publishing website, or Amazon.com if you REALLY want them.
Current, PPG has up to nine issues, and Dexter's Lab has only two (but, the numbers are climbing fast.)
