Description a very, VERY rough drawing of a Crossover Battle that i'd like to see happen..

Anyway, this is a GHOST RIDER (drawn in the 'Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy' art syle)
is a "heated" battle against Him, the Demonic Supervillain from 'The Powerpuff Girls'

Reason for this is that Ghost Rider almost ALWAYS fights Demon Lords (Mephisto for example)
and, if Ghost Rider ever came to Townsville..he'd probably have issues with Him.

I'd rather not start something with The Fans..but, my money is on "GR."
Ghost Rider is more powerful that he appears to be, and Him kind of wimpy as far as Demon Lords go.

in fact, on a scale of Powerful Cartoon Demons.

AKU (Samurai Jack) comes as #1

HIM is #2

and, NERGAL (Grim Adventures) is dead last at #3 (though, NegAl isn't really that "Evil", either)

Anyway..back to the drawing.

I'd love to see Ghost Rider battle Him, as i feel that after the battle is over
(and, assuming he is still alive) Him will develop a paranoid fear of "The Spirit of Vengeance"

The real highlight of this pic is Ghost Rider. Too many fans will just copy his appearance straight from the comics, having a clashing art style. But you've done the unexpected and adapted him into a CN style, which just makes my heart all tingly. Good job!

Well, I can't draw realistic looking skulls to save my life (or, even give them a variety of expressions)
so, I decided to cheat, and just use the cartoonish skull used in Grim Adventures.

much simpler that way.

I bet Him regrets taking on a Ghost Rider.

Him: Have Mercy!

Ghost Rider: Sorry, all out of mercy!

I'd rather see Ghost Rider Vs. Aku

I have very little memory of what Him was like, but, judging from a ppg anime I saw and what the previous commenter said, he isn't an easy customer. But, considering he's battled monsters like the elementals and Mephisto, I'd say Ghostrider has a pretty fair chance. Nice drawing.

I never said Him was a "weakling" (ALL Demon Lords are considerably powerful
it's while they are refered to as "Demon LORDS")

but, unlike Aku or Mephisto
Him uses his powers to amuse himself with cruel tricks.
and, ONLY uses his god-like abilities to show off.

Plus, i can't take Him seriously in that outfit of his (either version of him)

If Him continues his role as The Trickster
Ghost Rider would have little problem dealing with him.

Aku might provide more of a challenge
as the 'Shogun of Sorrow' is more willing to use his powers to it's fullest potental.

but, what do you expect??
Him fights superpowered girls on a daily basis.

Aku fights a actual Samurai Warrior.

Sorry, but when compared to Aku: Him will ALWAYS be "Number Two"
(but, Him is still better than Negal, the "Loser From The Center of the Earth")

Who is Negal anyway?

MetroXLR In reply to sureshot9593 [2013-03-23 23:17:20 +0000 UTC]

Read his Full Bio HERE: [link]

to make a long story short, Nergal is a black skinned Demon from The Center of The Earth.

his primary abilities are black tendrils that generate electrical energy

he can also shapeshift, possses bodies and teleport.

Unlike most Higher Demons, Nergal isn't really "evil"
he's actually a hopeless loser who is DESPERATE for friends
(he kidnapped Billy and Mandy simply to have somebody to play with.)

he married Billy's "Aunt Sis" (a human)
and, has a Demon/Human son named "Nergal Junior"

Nergal is more of a supporting character than a villain.

well, actually..he isn't bad AT ALL.
in fact, i kinda feel sorry for the guy.

Now I remember this guy. I always found it weird that the two had a son while Billy was still the same age as when they were married, but, then again, this is Billy and Mandy we're talking about. The show was never meant to be too serious. Say, small thought, another villain, a term I use loosely, to pit the Ghostrider against in a fanfic would be the Boogeyman, Grimm's rival.

I was considering using "Boogie Man" as a villain in my fictions.
Though, the one i wa sthinking of at the time was the Boogie of 'The Powerpuff Girls'
(that snazzy disco king with Kevin Micheal Richarson's voice)

though, if Ghost Rider were to face any REAL Villain in Grim Adventues.
it would be the Grim Adventures Version of Boogey.

he's the only real antagonist of the series.
causing major problems for Grim, PAST and PRESENT.

True. I also remember "Boogie Man". It was somewhat a ripoff of Star Wars, but it isn't the series to do such. It would also make sense for a plot. Like Darth Vader, ol' Boogie was merely shot off into space and not destroyed.

what about Trigon though? doesn't he fit into that too? and I think he might be mightier even than Aku! but yeah, him is a wimp, and ghost rider would kick his butt!

MetroXLR In reply to Makutakin [2013-03-23 19:03:57 +0000 UTC]

I didn't list Trigon because i was ranking CARTOON Demons
(Remember, Trigon is a Comic Book Character.
if i listed him, i would also have to list Mephisto, and even Melbolga.)

Remember the episode where Him took the Earth out of orbit and towards the sun during his custody battle with Mojo Jojo?

He literally STOPS the sun with a sign of his claw and then WAVES the Earth back into its normal orbit.

No offence, but that does NOT sound wimpy to me, I don't know much about Mephisto but I don't think even he pulled something like that off.

Him could EASILY destroy the Powerpuff Girls, but he doesnt because why destroy when you can torture right? There's a REASON his "name is so terrible that it strikes fear into the hearts of men" and that pal, is why he's simply called "HIM."

This guy practically fed the PPG candy on their birthday just to "torture with tooth decay."

That HURTS by the way, not pleasant at all, I should know.

Just me thinking out loud. I think even Ghost Rider would have quite a challenge here. I think his Penance Stare would have the same effect it had on Blackheart - nothing. Unless Him has a soul.

I remember in one of the PPG video games, Him literally turns all of Townsville into a video game, it shows some reality warping powers right there.

Also when he turned everyone in Townsville to hate the Powerpuff Girls.

Nothing wimpy there. As long as there is evil, Him feeds on it and grows in power. Afterall, HE took over the world in the future as well in "Speed Demon" and the Powerpuff Girls were unable to do a thing about it.

I think the only advantage Aku has is the fact that he controls time and can send his foes through history or the future.

Him hasn't displayed that feat.

I think both of these demons are extremely powerful and Ghost Rider would have to be CAREFUL. I don't doubt him, but I doubt this would be easy for him.

By the way, loud thinking aside, I like this picture.

maybe "Wimp" is too strong a word.

what i meant was that Him has a "questionable" fashion sense
AND, he is so vain, that he doesn't use his powers to it's fullest potental.

no, he mostly just uses amuses himself with riddles
and, tries to turn the girls against each other

only ustilizing his dark powers to show off.

Aku is a little more bad*ss.
he used his demonic powers to dominate ancient japan
(and, the rest of the world in the future)
as an act of Revenge, AND to prove that he could.

So, Aku is the Tough-As-Nails Warlord.
while Him is just The Trickster
(and, Nergal is the "hopeless loser")

I'v actually done my research on Ghost Rider.
and, i'm positive that he's give both Aku and Him problems.

afterall..One Ghost Rider was powerful enough to beat even The Incredible Hulk
(and, this was during World War Hulk.
when Hulk was even more powerful than he normally was.)

but, Ghost Rider DIDN'T fight Hulk.
because he was an innocent, and the other "heroes" weren't.

I can't say i like how my drawing turned out.
pencil coloring leave so many errors.

the whole thing looks like a mess.

The--Predator In reply to MetroXLR [2013-03-23 21:07:27 +0000 UTC]

To be honest, Hulk is nothing compared to demon lords like Aku or Him.

And this is coming from a Hulk fan. I know a lot about the Hulk, he doesn't have any magical powers and isn't mythical, he is purely physical and relies on strength while Ghost Rider has supernatural influence.

Aku could easily create a vortex and send Ghost Rider into whatever time period he pleases. I doubt anything but Samurai Jack's enchanted sword could harm Aku, wasn't that sword the only thing? If that's the case, then Ghost Rider needs to get his hands on Jack's sword if he even hopes to do any damage. Also different universe laws apply here, unless you want to twist it to fit the situation which makes it 'your' canon but if we use their original versions, then Ghost Rider needs the enchanted katana.

As for Him, remember when he took over the world? That's when even Him became bad*ss and practically laughed off the POWERPUFF GIRL'S punches, now that shows some serious power. They were basically like flies trying to punch a human.

How much can Ghost Rider lift? Or how hard can he punch?

Because Him at that level can just stomp on the Rider.

I would rather live in a future ruled by Aku than a future ruled by Him, seriously, have you SEEN how messed up it was?

TO quote Him, "the rest of the world went to HECK!"

At least in AKUS world, you can live some sort of LIFE.

I agree, Nergal is a poor loser, but he doesn't really seem that evil to me.

What did you think of the Ghost Rider films? I really enjoyed the first one but haven't seen the second. I wonder why people say it was bad. I found the first quite funny as well.

Here is a brief explaination of Ghost rider's powers according to Wikipedia..

"The Ghost Rider is a human who can transform into a skeletal being with a flaming skull and supernatural powers.

The motorcycles he rides can travel faster than conventional motorcycles and can perform such seemingly impossible feats such as riding up a vertical surface, across the surface of water
and, leaping across great distances that normal motorcycles could not match.

The Ghost Riders are notoriously hard to injure by any conventional means
as bullets and knives usually pass through them without causing pain (knives are seen to melt while in their body).

It is possible that they are genuinely immortal, it is said that God created them and only God can destroy them.

The Ghost Riders possess superhuman strength, enough to easily pick up a truck and hurl it across a road.
It has been stated that Johnny Blaze as Ghost Rider can press around 25 tons (or more as seen in World War Hulk).

But, a Ghost Rider's powers are more of a curse until they learn to control it."

I feel i should stat that the films "Ghost Rider" and "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance"
DO NOT take place in the same universal canon.

'Spirit of Vengeance' is a Stand Alone film.
whose only connection to the previous, is having Nick Cage playing the part of Johnny Blaze/Ghost Rider.

I like the first one due to it's western background.
it being a first attempt to bring Ghost Rider to the "silver screen"
and, the Mentor/Student bit between The Caretaker and Johnny Blaze
(Caretaker was the Ghost Rider of the Old West, quite possably in the 1880s
and, rode a flaming skeletal horse and his favored weapon was a shotgun that fired Hellfire Shots.)

'Spirit of Vengeance' was obviously an attempt to make Ghost Rider DARKER
(as the previous film was more Funny than Scary.)

As a Ghost Rider Fan, i obviously like a few things about it.
The Music, the Grittier look to Ghost Rider and the "Angel Backstory" for Zarathos.

but, the last film was Better.

I hear a Third Ghost Rider film is in the works.
though, Cage says he won;t be in it, and would rather the film have a FEMALE Ghost Rider.

actually, there IS a Female Ghost Rider in comics NOW.
so, such a movie isn't that farfetched, and i hope Marvel does it.
