It's a "big brother" thing.

though, I mostly think Danny is overprotective of Dani
from her near death in the season 3 episode: 'D-Stablized'

in which for a moment, Dani DID dissolve into ectoplasm.
and, in that moment..Danny truly believed he had failed to save her.


despite Dani surviving, that feeling of dread still lingered.
so, Danny obviously tries to protect Dani so he never has to feel that way again.

it isn't that he HATES Vince
(and, how could he Really after Vince helped to save Sam from a fate WORSE than death??)

he is just wary of Anyone who takes in interest in Dani.
and really just wants her to be Safe from harm.


in a way..Danny is behaving like Superman did on 'Superman: Unbound'
where Superman acted overprotective towards Lois Lane.

almost a parallel to Brainiac, who kept whole cities bottled up to preserve them.

But, it's like what Superman's uncle Zor-El said:

"You can't control a living thing
without destroying what's alive about it."


I am sure Danny means well.
but, he is making a major mistake on his part.

It is really understandable of Danny. I haven't seen 'D-Stabilized' yet, but I really want to, because Dani is probbly one of the characters I so far know less of the whole 'Danny Phantom' series. I only watched 'Kindred Spirits' with her.

I like the references you make to other media, they really give me (and probably others) the idea of the work and thought you put behind the stuff you write/draw/etcetera etcetera

For Danny Phantom, Butch Hartman made it easy.
as he based a few elements of this show (and, a few others he's done) on other media.


Cartoon Fans state that Danny Phantom is basically 'Spider-Man' and 'Ghostbusters' mixed together.
and, Butch's original concept for Danny was for him to have a motorcycle like Ghost Rider
(he even pointed this out in an interview, even brought up 'Ghost Rider' by name.)


and, in truth, some of Danny's enemies seem to be based on existing comic book villains.

Skulker is obviously like Kraven the Hunter.

Technus is a comedic version of Brainiac.

and, Vlad Plasmius is Lex Luthor/Green Goblin, combined.




as for 'D-Stabilized', you can probably see it on "Nick.com"
otherwise, you can just download it from Playstation Network
while we all wait for 'Shout! Factory' to release Season Three on DVD.


Basically, Dani Phantom has only appeared in TWO episodes
(Three, if you count her short cameo in 'Phantom Planet')


she's also had TWO different voice actresses.

Yes, she did.

in 'Kindred Spirits', she was voiced by: AnnaSophia Robb
while in D-Stabilized, she was voiced by: Krista Swan.
