Description
No offense intended against the original trilogy, and it's Father/Son dynamic.BUT, let's face it. the conflict between Darth Vader and Ahsoka Tano
was much deeper on an emotional level, and alot more intense.
My personal reasons being that with Vader and Luke, they barely knew each other.
Vader spent most of Luke's life thinking he died prematurely with Padme,
and Luke assumed his father was killed by Darth Vader (Thanks Obi-Wan for "fudging" the truth, you liar.)
And, even when they finally learn (and, accept) their family tie.
It..Still isn't as deep as most people like to think it is.
YES, they are Father and Son. BUT, a father and son who barely knew each other.
and, never GOT to achieve that deep of a bond before Vader's redeeming sacrifice at the end.
It's an entirely different story with Ahsoka.
As fans, we spent up to five seasons worth of episodes
to watch their bond as 'Mentor/Pupil' grow, so we KNOW there is a deep bond.
So, when Ahsoka finally does confront Vader..It's more intense,
as we know they had a deep connection, and feel each of their pains when they clash.
Luke MAY be Vader's son..but, Ahsoka is who he had a stronger connection with.
(It's not enough to redeem him of course, but still a more intense battle.)

Well duh Luke and Anakin didn't have any kind of connection to each like Ahsoka did.

Not really if we are talking about the second fight.

Yup after whole clone wars it was far better than with Luke who had little to no interactions with Vader

While it wasn't enough to bring Vader back to the Light, it probably planted the sides that Luke would sow later.

This series has about only 2 or three good episodes. But yeah. This was an epic one.

Why it is wrong to love both the films, AND the expanded material.
It's still Star Wars. Don't be such a narrow-minded film purest.
And, as 'good' as the films were. they were far from perfect (not to mention dated by today's standards.)
and, to ignore the flaws, and call the films cinematic perfection is just childish.
BUT, clearly talking to you is like talking to a brick wall.
So, I won't even try to convince you otherwise.
If you want to stay in your "films only" box,
and not expand your mind, and open to a broader universe..
Then, I cannot help you. Only YOU can do that.
You have my sympathies.

To be honest I found that 'Twilight Of The Apprentice' had more impact, character moments and Star Wars pleasure than the entire run time of TFA.
The whole final 10 minutes of the show came together so well.
Team Filoni for the win!

It must've tore Ahsoka apart to see that her mentor, who she cares deeply, had tragically fallen to the dark side after what they've been through together.

Lemme guess. You're a "film loyalist" who doesn't consider
any of expanded material canon, DESPITE some of it being canon.

I watched this clip over and over again.
And each time... I feel depressed inside.
I never felt this emotional over a scene in Star Wars, yet I loved their relationship in Clone Wars.
Just like you said, intense and emotional.

Maybe I should check out that story sometime, with clips edited together to save some time. But yeah I agree on this. Also sorry it I should a little weird, but I like the idea of Ahsoka and Adikin Skywalker as a couple before he became Vader. She would have been a better choice over Padme (based on the films...ugh...). Although that would mean that Luke and his sister would have been part of Ahsoka's species (whatever it is). Still I don't think it would have been too bad and maybe there could have been a slightly better chance he would not have become Vader, but then the future Star Wars stories would mostly not exist and would have made it quite boring, oh well...

That'd be an interesting AU.
Of course, one way to make it adapt into canon,
would have Anakin engage in a secret affair with Ahsoka in the latter days of the war.
So, while Luke and Leia still exist, there would also be a THIRD child
of Skywalker that could bring balance to the force.
(And, if so. then Ahsoka finding out the truth about Vader would be even more painful
knowing her child's father is the Sith Lord of the Empire.)

That could actually work really well for a AU fanfiction story. Hope you or someone else can find someone to do it, but make sure I get the original credit for the idea. If someone does it, let me know so I can read the start of the "final product".
