My first critique? Whoa, this is gonna be awesome.
Anyhow, I'm gonna try and write this with an unbiased view, as much as I love Dialga, because as a fellow art student, I know that critiques will help.
For starters, let me just say that the pure example of irony in this image is hilarious. A Dialga asking the time, not to mention, looking like a complete smartass, is definitely hilarious. It made me chuckle.
The Dialga itself could use some work, anatomy-wise. It looks a little bit like a potato. Excluding the left foreleg, it just seems like the legs themselves are just straight trunks, with a little bit of bone structure at the top.
The metal plates seems to be a bit flat. Maybe add some shading and highlights to it to give it a bit more depth?
Whenever I draw a Dialga, I base the anatomy off of a horse. It may or may not be helpful to you to base your anatomy off of real life creatures, but it certainly helped me.
I understand that a Dialga is hard to work with, when some people claim that he is. And he is! Adding expression to a Dialga is really tough, because there's so little you can do with the face.
All in all, it is a very good image, and it's definitely great for a laugh. I just suggest using a little bit more definitive anatomy. Use straight lines for a bone structure, then add circles for muscles and etc. Maybe even study some animal anatomy to help.
