Done immediatly after watching "Ocean gem"ΒLapis lazuli was just so beautiful and sad.
For the background i collected images of Aster and the throat chakra, both of which are associated with Lapis's gem and he gem's placement on her body.

Thank You! I've been having a lot of trouble with lines lately, and I've always felt more comfortable with my colours. So this started as an experiment is finding a compromise. I'm glad people are liking it!

Thanks! I think Gem blood is supposed to be blue, which doesn't quite fit, but i like the pinkish flush a little better

Whenever Pearl blushes, her cheeks turn turquoise, which implies that gems, or at least Pearl, have non-red blood.

I forgot about that! It makes sense though.
Although I wonder if the Gems actually have 'blood' in the human sense, and aren't more akin to golems. There were veins and musculature in the giant water arm Lapis created, butΒ Pearl didn't bleed at all when she was stabbed through the chest. Maybe their skin is more like a mood ring, and tints according to their emotions.
