A space marine chaplain i painted in 3 hours. I'm not happy with his skull-helmet. also contemplating on whether i should put one more layer of highlights on his armor. In direct light like this they show well but in darked conditions they don't really show.Related content

I think it is a really nice work after all. Only the shades and highlights of the black metal pieces of the armor are a little bit very sharp. Even if it is really polished Metal, the shades will blend a little bit.
You feel free to look on my own gallery, where I have shown the first tries of my own miniature painting... I would feel really honored if you could give a critique to them, because I am a really newbe with this and search for every help I can get^^

armor looks great, don't change a thing. its way too easy ending up with gray armor

well, i asked some friends and they all said i should add one more highlight on the very edges. They look bright on this picture with direct spotlight but on the table, the color looks pretty flat. I try to paint my models so that they look good while on the table, which requires bright highlights and contrast. usually that gets more pinting points in tournaments than doing display models which usually look flat on the table.

well, usually it's the tournaments that you get points from painting, otherwise it's just to show off to your friends lol. I'm not good enough to paint display models yet so tabletop quality is what I do
