Description I love these two...I really really do. ^_^

This is my Christmas present to ~DannyPhantomLover . She asked for a picture of one of her favorite couples (among which are Ulrich and Yumi), and this scene just popped into my head. I loved doing the sunset on "Train Ride". I've also been meaning to try and put a little more perspective and shading/highlight effects into my hand-colored works, so this was the perfect picture to give it my very best shot in. (Yumi's leaning back against the parapet, and I would have had Ulrich sitting next to her as well, but then I remembered he gets Vertigo to an extent... I like this pose better anyway. ^.^ )

So, here they are, the two of them enjoying some peace on Kadic's roof, watching the sunset together.

Merry Christmas I truly hope you like this!!! (And thanks once again for the awesome Ron and Mew pic you drew me!)

Edit Just a description edit...~SamBlob found out the correct name for that concrete siding that runs along Kadic's roof, which is "parapet". I had been using "railing", which was incorrect, and it was annoying me to no end that I couldn't think of the right name for it. Thank you, SamBlob!

Hiroki and Ricky would make one heck of a team against their older relatives. They seem like the types that would plant mistletoe all over the place during Christmas, and the like. ^.^

Yeah, I used a straight edge to get the building straight...I never could hand-draw straight lines really well...they always look scribbly. ^^

Generally nice, and quite well done. The only nit I see to pick is that there is very little fade from one colour into the next in the sunset. OTOH, I wouldn't know how to get that effect with coloured pencil, so...

A few disconnected jottings:

What railing?

Yumi's afraid of heights too, according to "The Trap". However, this might only apply when she looks straight up or straight down, as it does with me.

Unfortunately, the title "With You" reminds me of the song "Wicked Game" as sung by Chris Isaak, which really should not apply to YxU.

This reminds me of a picture I saw of Jeremy and Aelita on a rooftop; I don't remember who did it. Fortunately, your picture does not have the most memorable feature of the picture I remember, which was that their shadows were to the viewer's right although the sun was behind them in the picture...

I couldn't think of a very good title for this one...I considered "Sunset", but that was pretty bland, and "Love Being With You" wouldn't fit because I had to make sure ~DannyPhantomLover 's name could fit as well. So I ended up leaving it as, "With You". I haven't heard that song though...

"Railing" is the wrong word for it...but I couldn't think of the word for that concrete siding that borders around Kadic's roof (Jeremie was sitting on it as well in "Satellite"). "Wall" wasn't right...and barricade didn't quite fit the mood. *sweatdrop*

*sweatdrops more* Yeah...there isn't as much transition as I would have liked between the shades of the sunset...I tried to blend the colors, but I still ended up with blocks of different hues. I suppose next time I'll try and use absolutely every shade of orange, yellow, and red I have to see if that doesn't work a little better....

*grins* I suppose this is a little bit like StarWay's J/A pic (was that one titled "Sunset"?). Just before I started coloring this, I remembered that pic she'd done and took extra care to make sure the shadows and highlights matched up the best I could. I remember hers was really nice looking though.

Hmm... what *is* that called, anyway? It is a barrier of some sort; "wall" really doesn't work but it is more correct that "railing" 'coz it doesn't have rails... it must have a name. I think I'll ask my brother. (IIRC, what Jeremy fell from in Garage Kids was a railing...)

It was indeed, but for that trifling detail about the shadows.

Yeah...that was my exact dilemma...I still can't figure out what it would be called. If you or your brother can find it out, I'd greatly appreciate it. Then I can change the wording...since "railing" is pretty inaccurate. (There was a railing in GK...it was changed to that concrete wall/thing for CL though, at least for "Satellite" and "Plagued"...strange...)
