Gif showing some screenshots of the drawing process! I used very heavy reference for Litten's body if it wasn't obvious. Drawn in Paint Tool SAI with a slightly modified Acrylic brush, 1300 x 1500 px, took about 3-4 hours. I used multiple layers, but only temporarily (such as an Overlay layer early on to add some touches of brighter color, or a Luminosity layer for the eye highlights) - I merged them all into a single layer after I achieved the look I wanted for them. The only exception is a layer I made for the whiskers, which I kept separate in order to prevent the whiskers from getting mussed up.
