Tumblr reblog linkI couldn't help myself. R/S/E's soundtrack is my #1 favorite of all Pokemon games and I'm really excited to hear it redone in 3DSey goodness.

This picture made a huge impact on me for some reason. So much so that any time that some one mentions trumpets it almost invariably comes to mind.
Which makes Jason Derulo's song 'Trumpets' create some very ... unusual imagery, though the giggle inducing nature of it makes the song much more enjoyable.

i love how you made kyogre have that trumpet. it really brings back memories of hoenn's awesome trumpet-filled soundtrack. my favorite has always been the theme when your in water.

I mean he does have a full orchestra behind him and he had to get nintendo's seal of approval to even do the thing, so I guess I do not see the problem. I have no qualms with supporting musicians so that they can continue to do what they do.

Thank you for prompting me to dig deeper! I made an assumption based off his Facebook/Twitter, where he says he's not affiliated with Nintendo at all and is just making tributes, but yeah, you're right, after digging around it turns out his record label does actually do VGM licensing and pay royalties. That's a huge relief, and I'm surprised he doesn't publicize it more. I get really frustrated by the huge number of people who sell copyrighted stuff without going through proper licensing channels because it puts the work of all the other fans--who are just making free expressions of creativity--at risk. Plus it's, well, dishonest and tacky.

I knew this person is an honest musician so that's why I was a bit confused by your previous statement, haha. 
I really enjoyed his Kanto Reorchestrated and I got my friend into him as well! Really pleasant arrangements all around, they sound like movie soundtracks for Miyazaki films at certain points.

Yeah, thank you for being so kind in your correction. At the time, I had just gotten through headdesking after ANOTHER friend of mine announced their intentions to sell knockoff Pokemon merch illegally so I was in a very 'screw you' mood towards anything fanmade with a price tag on it. Thank you for recommending him... his music is absolutely magnificent!
