Those familiar aqua eyes opened, the bright light of the sun shining through the half closed blinds that hung on the window of his apartment. He groaned lowly at the sunlight that shone precisely on his eyes, as he sat up. The weight of a dog sleeping by his knees prevented him from moving, as the man grunted.
The beep of his phone just started as the blonde man began to sit up showing off his toned, bronze abs, as a grunt escaped his peach, soft lips. His morning was already off to a bad start, and that aggravated him greatly. The move of his legs and the loud beeping noise woke up the heavy German Shepherd at his feet as the strong creature scuttled off the bed. The blonde man's paws reached for the loud, noisy instrument, thumb hovering over the button to receive the call. Almost hesitantly he pressed the button, nestling the phone to his ear to allow the speaker to say what they needed to say, as the dog ran down the hallway noisily, expecting food to be in the kitchen.
A familiar voice known to the man spoke down the phone,"Hey,Alfred! Last night was insane!"The man screeched down the phone excitedly,"You still coming out tonight? We could pick up some more girls, seeing as last night was insane..."
Alfred's face somewhat twisted at that statement,"Last night was unfair. You knew full and well those girls only liked skinny albinos with an huge ego."
The man down the phone seemed disgruntled at that statement as he almost shouted down the phone back at Alfred,"It wasn't my fault you were dressed feminine last night, Alfred! We're going out tonight whether you like it or not, the turnout of people at that club last night was amazing! And you... you may just find a girl, Alfred. Not like you'd need one, but I met a totally cute one last night..."
"I don't wanna hear it Gilbert,"Alfred replied,"I think I have a hangover, my beast of a dog basically cut off the circulation in my legs, and I don't want a girl. Goodbye."
"W-wait!Eli-" Gilbert was cut off on the phone as Alfred pressed the button to discontinue the call, slowly placing the phone back to it's usual place.
Alfred ran a hand through his golden locks, almost disappointed with today. It was the glorious fall from Friday night, when he and Gilbert went for drinks at a local nightclub, and Gilbert picked up a few girls, but managed only bringing one home. Alfred mainly kept quiet that night, and today he wasn't feeling up to it. Gilbert would only outshine him again - something the American didn't want to happen, as Alfred had been without a girl for the past few weeks. It was starting to get on his nerves. Had he lost his cool? Were his abs slowly turning to fat from his diet? Was he losing his strength?
The thoughts bombarded Alfred, as he slowly became more self conscious as the minutes passed. Tonight would have to be a miracle for a girl to show up, asking for his number, followed by intense dancing or make out sessions. Maybe the British gentleman Arthur was stealing all the girls with his trademark, suave accent and lean yet toned body. Everyone but him seemed to be faring well in the world of love, and while love was an unfamiliar word to Alfred, he craved it in short sessions with different people.
He made a journey to the kitchen to get his German Shepherd, Hero, some food. By now he'd been wagging his tail at the food bowl for over five minutes now, patiently. As the food arrived for the dog, Hero barked in almost joy before eating ravenously, Alfred walking into the living room to look out of the same window, pulling the blinds up so the city skyline was visible to him, and opening the window not soon after.
Putting his hands behind his head in a flex, he inhaled the air coming in from the open window. The fresh, cold air reassured him, motivating him, pushing him. Tonight wouldn't be so bad, if he kept his character. Alfred then turned to tend to his dog, who would have by now finished his food since he was starving from the looks of it, and now wanted to go walking.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The night had fallen, and by now the same city Alfred was gazing out upon was lit up by lights coming from ever corner, whether it be from a bachelor, or a family; poor or rich; house lights or streetlights, the city was alive that night without a doubt, more than usual.
The last few minutes Alfred had spent in his apartment were gussying up in his mirror, wearing a red button up shirt with a black blazer, jeans, and black shoes. He figured the elegant kind of sexy would send the ladies wild, as evident with Arthur on great nights, who would pull in girls possibly in the hundreds. Arthur was revered - Alfred was not, and their motives were completely opposite, something Alfred despised. He played with the keys in his hands before leaving his apartment to wander into the lights of the city.
It was a long taxi ride to the decided venue, and Gilbert decided to bring his brother, Ludwig, a stocky, built man with an organized personality. It was more worse than good for him. While Alfred fared quite well next to Gilbert topless, up against Ludwig, Alfred was like a pea. Alfred viewed his abs as his best asset, and having a man like Ludwig there would only ruin him. He sighed, before being thrown forward abruptly as the cab stopped.
"That'll be six dollars, sir." The driver asked, as Alfred handed over the money with a slight grumble at the price, getting out of the cab and walking into the bright venue.
A smell of a strong drink overpowered Alfred's nose as he stepped into the venue. Beside him there was a bar, and the man with the strong drink was a light haired man with Russian looking features, with a sad face.
Alfred's face twisted into a sad look, almost feeling sympathy for this man. The floor squeaked, the slippery surface recently washed, most likely from someone throwing up recently. In front of him was a dance floor full of people, most notable a girl dancing with tanned skin, brown pigtails and a short blue dress, dancing against a peachy man with shoulder length blonde hair tied in a man bun, and a beard, with startling violet eyes, his hands hovering over her hips. He was dressed smartly, in a cream blazer and black jeans and loafers.
Alfred's blue orbs diverted to the bright lights shining on everyone, and the music filling his ears. A korean song blasted throughout the room, the soft yet harsh voice filling the ears from everyone as the dancing styles changed.
Alfred looked lost. Just exactly where was Gilbert? Had he left him, and went to another nightclub with Ludwig, leaving him alone and stupid looking. Alfred didn't want to look stupid, so he instead went to get a drink, and maybe talk to that depressed Russian man. When he looked back to the exact place, the man was gone. Alfred's eyes wandered yet again, finding the platinum haired man in a conversation with a fragile, chinese man... or woman, Alfred couldn't tell. The air of the club was starting to hurt his lungs, as he figured it was time for a break from the bright lights and loud music that were giving him a headache, as he took the steps outside again. Gilbert would find him eventually, hopefully. The cold air was yet again a harmony to him, as he intook the 'clean' air into his lungs. Little did he know, he was smelling danger.
A squeal of a girl came from the side of him. Alfred turned around quickly, golden hair whipped around suddenly it was if his ahoge would fly off.
Beside him, a woman was being hustled into a car, and the woman was resisting, (h/c) hair flying everywhere as she tried to get away.
((Reader POV))
"Let go!"You cried, the breath of the drunk man sickening you. You felt his foot kick the back of your legs as you almost fell, the stronger man having an upper hand. His face contorted into a smile, he pushed you into the car.
"Tonight, I'll make you a woman..." He leered at you, his greying hair falling as he went to stand over you.
Alfred couldn't take it anymore. He'd been watching this, as you helplessly cried. Although not the best man for rights, what this other man was doing was wrong, and this self proclaimed hero couldn't let anything bad happen to this girl, even if he didn't know her.
Alfred ran towards the man and kicking his stomach, sending him plumetting backwards out of the car, landing on his back. He was dressed in a business suit, and was older man - possibly in late forties, to the fifties. His hair was styled in a smart, slicked back style that was falling apart, and was pale with haunted green eyes.
The older man grunted as he hit the ground. "What do you think you're doing, ba-"
He couldn't finish, before Alfred punched him in the face, leaning over him as he continued to punch the older man in the face until blood started to come from his mouth and nose.
You were emotionally stricken, unable to move from the shock of this man whom posed innocently had tried to deceive you.
Alfred then kicked the man as he begged Alfred to stop, Alfred gone red in the face. If only he'd brought Hero, if only... this man could get the payment for taking advantage of this girl.
The older man crawled away from presumably his car, as you struggled to get to your feet, weak legs slowly pulling you up off the ground.
Alfred turned to you,"Man's a total douche. Sorry if I scared you, men like that piss me off..." Alfred grunted, clenching his other fist as he helped you out of the car and onto the pavement, as he helped you and gived you extra support, making sure you could stand.
You looked up at your savior,"You're my hero, really. Just... thank you." You mumbled tears rising to your eyes from the encounter.
"Don't sweat it, Lois lane." Alfred chuckled, showing his brighter side. You smiled nervously back, pulling your scarf around your mouth, going to leave. You turned to him before continuing your walk.
"Thank you, really."You smiled back with a thankful expression. Alfred was going to let you go, but a girl this beautiful gone, who fell into his arms so easily, he couldn't let her go, not now.
Alfred's hand lingered away from your shoulder, "Don't go!" He cried, suddenly grabbing your hand, as you turned back to him.
"Why?"You asked, confused at his statement.
Alfred looked thoughtful,"You were leered at by that man all night, right? You couldn't have a great night."
You looked thoughtful. How did he know? "Yes, but... I'm cold. I want to get home."
Alfred bit his lip, letting your hand go,"Fine, but I'll approach you if we see each other anywhere, Lois lane."
"The name's (f/n)(l/n),not Lois." You chuckled back towards Alfred,"What's yours? I might stalk you on social media, see your girlfriend..."
"Tough chance, girls are repelled by me,"Alfred chuckled,"Although I wouldn't mind you stalking me, (y/n)."
You chuckled back,"But, what's your name?"
"Oh, right! Alfred F. Jones, obviously, the F is something I don't know, but it sounds smart." Alfred chuckled back, congratulating and cursing himself for his subtle flirting.
You turned to him fully,"Well, I guess I could stay for a few drinks. I'm waiting for a friend."
"No way, me too! I bet they're off romancing it up in the alleyways." Alfred chuckled as you also chuckled at his joke.
"Why don't we go then?" You notioned. It was started to get even more chilly outside, even if it was warm earlier.
Alfred seemed in a dream state before snapping out of it and following you inside, the blaring music in his ears once more.
The open space suddenly got more disclosed as people flooded the room of all looks and personalities. You were feeling slightly nervous, but Alfred suddenly snaked his hand around your hip, tender fingers on a journey to your hip, pulling you close to him as you squeaked as you landed on his side, clutching onto him for help.
A loud laugh was heard behind you two, a laugh Alfred recognized.
"So, Alfred finally managed to pick up a chick!" The albino chuckled. Gilbert Beilschmidt, the man who cried when he found melted marshmallows that represented his pet bird in the kitchen as part of a drunken new years prank. The guy who picked a fight with his brother for no reason, and after pushing him too far, got body slammed.
"Shut up, Gilbert, atleast I have pecs while you just have flabby moobs." Alfred hit back as Gilbert's face turned red from embarrasment.
"No I don't! You're wrong! I can show you if you want, idiot!" He shot back, before being jabbed in the back by Ludwig's arm, who was now behind him, along with two other men and two girls.
Your eyes lit up,"Elizabeta! Where were you?" You hugged her casually, the brunette woman smiling politely.
"Wait, you know her?" Gilbert asked to you, looking at Alfred rather weirdly.
"Yes, we planned to meet up, it turned out you two were most likely getting it on in the alleyway behind this night club."
Elizabeta blushed profusely, but then smiled, dreaming of it, as you facepalmed at your perverted friend.
"Oh, it's nothing..."Gilbert tried to convince you, but he was intensely blushing too,"Anyway, who are you, and how did Alfred manage to pick you up? I thought Alfred would be back with his dog for 20 years, for how alone he is nowadays." Gilbert joked, the two men behind him laughing, Ludwig keeping his straight face, Alfred glaring, and you girls just looking rather disconcerted.
Alfred's eyes suddenly snapped up, recognizing the man and the girl with him from earlier on in the club. It was the same man with a blonde man bun, and the pigtails tanned girl. There was another man there who was tanned with dark brown hair and startling green eyes. You were surprised the girls weren't attached to him, even if he didn't have bulging muscles, as a man Alfred had to say he was pretty damn hot.
An awkward silence took hold of you all, before Ludwig broke it, "So, I suppose we should be dancing, ja? Gilbert wants to show off his superior dance moves to Elizabeta, and France just wants to feel Michelle's hips and maybe score tonight."
Ludwig stayed rather smug as the four looked rather surprised and disgusted.
"Come on, we're going." Michelle grunted, annoyed, grabbing Francis's sleeve and dragging him along, more powerful than she looked.
Elizabeta chuckled, "I'd rather not watch, I... want to talk to (y/n)." She mentioned, turning to you with a smile,"Let's talk!"
"Wait, I want to-" You wanted to show your moves on the dancefloor, but Elizabeta jabbed you in your side as you sharply intook breath.
"No, I insist."She dominantly instructed, dragging you into the ladies bathroom.
Once you reached there after struggling through huge crowds of the university youth side, she pulled you into the toilets to be alone and away from the noise. You expected to be in there to follow how the Selfie music video played out, or just to fix your makeup.
"So, why am I here?"She asked.
"Don't you know what you're doing?"She asked you, looking rather concerned.
"What? I'm being perfectly safe. Well, I wasn't, but then Alfred saved me from a total douche."
"That's the problem. You don't know who Alfred is, don't you?" Elizabeta questioned.
"Well, you're out with that silver haired albino punk guy, who has an huge attitude." You replied.
"Well, He's surprisingly faithful."Elizabeta commented.
"What is about him, anyway? I want to know now." You eagerly asked, staring at her, intrigued.
"Well, uh... I don't know how to say, but he's a Casanova. Don't get too close, he'll break your heart." She commented, "Not in a mean way, but that guy's been with more girls than you can imagine."
Even though you didn't feel for Alfred, something died. Like you'd hoped the hero who saved you was a committed, dutiful man, or was this gossip an attempt to steal him?
You seemed disheartened. No, you couldn't be. You'd only just met this man yet there was a connection.
"A casanova? Does that mean..."You replied, leaving off in wonder.
"Most likely had more women than Taylor swift has had boyfriends, without the sob story pop." Elizabeta replied grimly.
You seemed rather lost, "So, he's using me?"
"Most likely." Elizabeta replied, "Now, let's go out. They're bound to be singing Wannabe rather loudly right now, and that's not safe since the women will be on them like rich girls to gucci shoes."
"Can you stop with the similes?"You commented with a slight chuckle. You found Gilbert, Alfred and Antonio at the bar of the nightclub, Alfred enjoying a cold vodka.
You almost hesitated. The blue eyes made you want more, yet the harsh words whispered kept you away.
Casanova.
He wandered over to you after noticing him walk over to you. Elizabeta shot you a look of worry and concern.
Stay away. Her eyes read almost, words ringing in your ears.
The casanova's hands slid around your hips, bringing you into an embrace.
"What is it?" You asked, reading Elizabeta's dire warning in her facial expression.
"Would you like to stay at mine for the night?" He whispered. And you melted into the casanova's spider web of love.
