this image is a bit of test... i have an idea i'd like to try... a conceptual piece... but, first, i wanted to see how it might look...

anyway, please let me know if you like it... or, more importantly, let me know if you don't... oh... and "why's" would be great... if you could...

Hey.... are they snapshots from a cartoon or something? And... did you just have a slow shutter speed when you took these photos? And.... I think I like them.

(nodding)... yep... 'the sword in the stone'... and, yes... it is a composite of four images... and each was about 10 seconds long...

Now I'm trying to figure out what Disney movie has a blond boy with a red shirt in the middle of a forest. Christopher Robin? I don't know.

You didn't use a tripod for any of these 10-second exposures. I don't know if using a tripod would help any. It might make the parallelogram-ish shapes a little more unified... but you've probably already that, Mr. Gorillapod.

I enjoy the colors, I enjoy the black frame, I enjoy the abstraction. Not sure about the green (on/off?) light in the upper right corner of each of the images. Because they overlap, I guess it's not really that distracting.

'sword in the stone'...

actually, that is a good idea... i didn't think of the tripod... probably because i knew that i wanted the blur... that said, i'll have to try that...

(nodding)... that is the light from the dvd player above the television... i thought about cloning that out... but forgot to...

P.S. When I say "but you've probably already that, Mr. Gorillapod," I actually mean "you've probably already TRIED that."

(grin)... mine, too...

the next time i do this, i think i'll try and find more moments like that... moments where a vaguely recognizable shape would result...

oh... very different...
I'm not thinking, just typing edges of thoughts ... apropos... so, don't take it too seriously!
You? blurry image?
My first reaction - I didn't like the big/heavy black fram, it's contrasting too much the colors and the "atmosphere" of the 4 images inside it... Theis "atmosphere" (for me) is more happy/light/optimistic/"childish" in its best meaning... The fram is heavy, dark, gloomy, doesn't give them (the 4 images) the chance to "fly", to rise up, to stand out.. It's kinda strangle them...
When I opened its full size - I felt all which I said above more strongly. Those 4 images are very very nice, and remindes me some children's books illustrations... I don't know why do you need that heavy black fram... as I know you, you have your good reasons...
So let's have them

first, i am very impressed... these are images for kids... it is four 'snapshots' from a disney movie... each 10 seconds long...

i made a single image by layering these in photoshop... along, i would preferred to make one multiple exposure in camera... in fact, if you look at the originals, each occupies only one part of the grid... for example, the first image i shot only filled the upper left of the frame...

admittedly, i did move them a little bit in photoshop... to get the tighter composition/grid... but, to be honest, i didn't move them much...

and that is why, again, i have the dark frame... it is the background... it is the result of the television being the only light in the room... and, yes, it does add a lot of weight to the images... but i am not sure i want to change that... because, at some point, it would become more of a digital manipulation than a photograph...
