"Ready Player One."
»First Impressions
-A highly trained and well socialized herding dog with an upbeat attitude and sound work-ethic. She is seen with a happy grin across her maw and with alert, bright eyes that seem to dazzle in the light. Not much is currently known about her, given she is fairly new to the area, though her seemingly friendly and sometimes, laid-back nature draws the attention of many.
»Notable Physical Features
-An all around athletic build from years of training and up-keep, with a medium-length coat of soft fur covering it. Her ears are always pointed downward while her head and tail remain held high.
»Posture & Gait
-Cody walks with her head held high and tail swaying from side to side. She is a confident canine true and true and is never afraid to walk into a new room. She'd much rather run than walk in order to get from place to place and is usually seen in a blurred hurry.
»Habits & Pastimes
-Spending some quality time with her sheep when duty isn't called, seeing what other types of chores need to be done around the farm in order to assist her housefolk, playing frisbee with Anne-Marie (and really, just hanging out with Anne-Marie in general, when she is able to), a LOT of running, swimming, going on car rides with the fam, traveling, adding things to her "cool weird little items" collection located under the porch. You know. Normal things.

|| PERSONALITY ||
“Oh, you crazy, wonderful dog!”
「 Enthusiastic | Caring | Intelligent | Ambitious | Loyal | Dogmatic | Sarcastic | Mawkish | Teasing 」
»Enthusiastic // Never the one to hide how she feels, Cody is a highly expressive individual when it comes to most things in life and especially in things she has the most fondest for. When she loves something, it is absolutely obvious in both the ways she speaks and behaves, whether it be herding her sheep, catching her ball, training with Thomas or even going to the Vet, the canine is always zealous in any type of environment she finds herself in. She struts around with a wave of positive energy flowing from behind her and isn't afraid to let it be shown.
»Caring // Working and being around different farm animals of all shapes and sizes, Cody can be both stern and gentle when it comes down to handling them. She can be stubborn and hard-headed towards rams of the same nature but at the same time, she can lay still with a nest of baby geese and play gently with the barn kittens. She is a courteous creature by nature, and a very fair individual who's caring nature makes her extremely trustworthy with pretty much anything and is a trait that the Taylors absolutely love about her.
»Intelligent // Already showing high intelligence levels from a young age, Cody's brain is filled with all sorts of highly-complexed wiring and inner-workings. It had taken Thomas very little time to teach her all of the basic commands that would be expected of an average house-pet to know and once she solidified her understanding of those, they moved on to the next thing as quickly as they had begun the last. She is quick-witted, cunning and incredibly sharp as any good farm dog would need to be.
»Ambitious // Just as she is smart, Cody is a formidable host of strong determination and drive. Having high aspirations for one's self, she absolutely relishes in learning new things and is always willing to participate in them, in order to achieve absolute perfection. Her eyes are always on the sky and it's only a matter of time before she figures out how to fly up into it.
»Loyal // Never a more steadfast mutt there ever was, Cody is a truehearted and undoubtedly devoted companion to those she deems as allies. She'd put her life on the line if it meant no harm were to come to those she truly loves, and especially her human family.
»Honest // (sometimes to a fault) Cody is an open book that rarely closes, and is something that doesn't take long for one to discover about her. Always telling it like it is, and never being one to lie in order to get what she wants or for someone elses benefit, she is honest to an almost extreme level and at times, can appear as though she is overly observant about every little thing. Which. She is.
»Dogmatic // Having been taught manners, various techniques and other types of behaviors that has led her to become the dog that she is now, Cody follows the path of a very clear road for which she had set in place for herself. She follows these set rules with an unwavering passion and takes them all very seriously. She also cannot seem to understand when others don't also follow these principles when she witnesses them being ignored in real time. For example; stealing a sandwich from someone's table, jumping into strollers, excessive/unnecessarily barking, tearing up blankets, destroying the house or ripping a man's pants clean off, are all deemed as highly inappropriate and completely unexceptionable behaviors by her standards, and are all looked down upon with raised brows and a shake of the head.
»Sarcastic // Though not always, as she is usually pretty good in saying things in a very blunt and straight-forward manner, Cody can on occasion be rather sardonic in her speech. She doesn't often mean to come off as such and truthfully is simply being unironically witty without realizing it, unless it is mentioned.
»Mawkish // Kind-hearted as she is, Cody can sometimes have an odd way in showing her affection and loves towards others, especially when it is a new and exciting one at that. She expresses her appreciation in silly ways as she does genuine and well-thought out ones. She's just a little awkward like that, you guys.
»Teasing // Yet another trait of hers that is hard to miss once you have bared witness to it and one that she herself, will not have noticed until much later. Cody is never a dog to outwardly mock or demean someone on purpose (especially out of malice) but rather will poke fun at those she finds a great interest in. She'll egg them on in a playful way as a means to gain their attention more, throw quips, banter back and forth and so on. Because of this, she can at times come off as being flirty when she doesn't at all mean to be and, again, she won't really have realized it until it is too late.

|| HISTORY ||
“It's just the beginning, so lets see how the story goes on.”
Puphood
Cody was the second litter to be had by herding dogs Timmy and Charlie and the third to be born among her littermates. Her birth familys farm was located a few countys away from Canidale, and who's reputation for producing high-quality herding dogs was very well known, though none of them were actually full-bred canines.
The majority of her young puphood was good by all standards and was cared immensely by her birth family, both canine and human. She was a very lively and rambunctious little thing from the beginning and showed great promise in upholding the standards held by both her parents and past relatives. At a young age, she would begin to herd practically anything and everything she could, from the housefolk, to the small farm animals, the barn cats, and even her siblings (much to some of their annoyance)
Once the pups were old enough, the time eventually came for the pups to move on their new adopted families and Cody was welcomed into the Taylor family with open arms and lots of love to be given. They were a small family, a Father, Mother, and young daughter. Prior to adopting Cody, the Taylors had another Border Collie by the name of Chavkin, who had sadly passed at a rather young age. Grieving and in need of a herding dog to maintain their sheep, the Taylors eventually heard news of Codys birth via a friend of theirs, who knew of their troubles.
They quickly got into contact with Codys birth owners and the rest was history.
Thomas Taylor was no stranger when it came to training and handling dogs. Having grown up in the farming and herding life-style since he was a young boy, the Farmer was more than prepared and equipped to properly care for Cody, to the best of his abilities. Her general training and desensitization began first and when she was ready, her preparation for herding began.
·✦·
Juvenile
Just has she had shown in her youth, Cody's drive and intelligence levels all but grew with help of Thomas' training. The more she learned, the more eager and willing to please she became. She exceeded in everything that the family's past dogs had achieved in and at times, the young dog almost seemed too good to be true. She flourished when she was out with her sheep, their actions and behaviors becoming like second-nature to her the more time she spent out with them, all the while her owners looked on her with immense pride. The future was looking great and they couldn't wait to see what was in store for their beloved dog.
·✦·
Current
The Taylor family have recently moved to Canidale in order to expand their farm and sheep business. They have heard positive things from friends who have been in the area and are looking forward in seeing what ventures lay in store for them.
Cody knows virtually nothing about the area and no one as of now, though she is very excited to meet some new faces and hopefully make a couple of friends along the way.

|| TRIVIA/EXTRA INFO ||
“Here are some cool and fun dog facts. Be ready to take notes.”
» The health and overall well-being of this farm dog is of high importance and while she is provided with all of the physical and mentally stimulating needs a dog such as herself would need in order to flourish, the Taylors also provide Cody with a strong and consistent routine health maintenance. Her teeth are brushed and cared for daily, her nails dremeled regularly, is fed a healthy, well-balanced and nutritious diet, is given proper supplements, vaccines are always up to date, has regular Vet visits and is on a prevention for various parasites. Her coat is also brushed and cared for primarily by Suzanne, though full-on bathing isn't really needed (unless she absolutely needs one) Having been made accustomed to these things from a young age, Cody does not mind them in the slightest and actually rather enjoys being dotted on.
»While herding sheep is her main job, Cody has been trained in herding other types of animal as well, ranging from horses, cows, ducks, chickens, turkeys, pigs and so on. She'll herd just about anything if asked to but sheep are (obviously) her strong suit and primary focus.
» Though not really "allowed", Cody often sneaks her way into Anne-Maries room at night to sleep. Her usual spot is at the foot of the bed, under the covers.
» Her all time favorite food are duck heads! Especially the dehydrated ones, though really, any kind of food given to her, is good stuff. She ain't picky.
» Cody knows a vast assortment of tricks, along with both verbal and non-verbal commands. She even knows how to do them in different languages!
» When she was still a puppy, Cody once spotted a Coyote from the living room window, though all she could really make out was the pair of peering yellow eyes from the darkness. It is one of her most earliest and unforgettable memory.
» Wild and fast-paced as all get out, Cody does know when to behave herself when need be, especially when the Taylors go into town with her. One could easily mistake her for being the most calm and laid back dog that has ever walked the earth with how she composes herself in public though really, she just simply knows better to make any sort of scene. Why bother embarrassing yourself, amiright?
» At home, Cody never wears a collar and is only ever seen with one on, when she goes into town or when traveling (just to be safe.)
» Loyal and forever faithful to Farmer Thomas and unconditionally loving towards Suzanne, Cody's favorite person is by far Anne-Marie, for whom she would do just about anything for.
» She is the only pup in her litter to have inherited her Mothers floppy ears.
“Just be a faithful friend, right till the end. That the best advice I could ever give. Don't forget it.”
ey yo. who's this new girl?
