Excellent work. Seems to convey a feeling of simple elegant beauty of such a peaceful scene yet with a sense of ominous foreboding from the surrounding forest as well.

Magnificent piece! It feels like I'm really there as a character in an unsettling story (probably trying find my way out before it gets too dark ). I love the zig-zag formation of the water stream below along with the subtle reflection of the moon's glow. Well done!

I have found myself in similar situations. While out taking reference pictures of deer, I once got carried away and lost track of time. Trees around the property had been cut by loggers, so I was thrown off by the "new look" as well. The sun was nearly all the way down, and I thought I was heading up the hill toward my car just to realize that I was going in the opposite direction. I was all alone and my phone battery was dying (from freezing temperatures). Needless to say, I tucked my camera under my arm and jolted the other way (up and down hills) with little sunlight remaining. I made it to my car in darkness, and while this would not be a big deal to most nature travelers, it was plenty scary enough for me. It made a good story, and I definitely learned my lesson. Never again.
Also, good choice to add the water!
