She looks really angry. o.o Maybe you should stop taking her picture... It's beginning to wear her down.
As for that over with, mhm, good shot. I like the colors, and the pose. o.o;; Yadda yadda...

Wear a brightly colored hat and take a survey of how many times you get beaten up in one week. o.o;
To pass the time of course. ^._.^

thanx
as for the lighting...all of my studio shots are done with hot lights. I'm a cinematographer by trade, so I'm just accustomed to using (and generally have access to) large tungsten units. The key was a 5K with heavy diffusion and the back light was a 1K from the overhead grid.

you burned the model,
i shot once with tungsten, but it was very difficult to me, i used 1K and i had problems with the speed (1/60), shake it baby, shake it!!!

I know she's hot, but I didn't burn her at all.
As for your tungsten experience, I imagine you might have some trouble getting the desired stop using only a 1K. That is the biggest downside of shooting tungsten. But as I said, in this shot I was using a 5K (same as in my pic "The Scarf"). Some of the other pix ("Effortless Pout," "Smokin'") were keyed with a 10K. On the other hand, there are also a few shots that I only had a 650w. In the case of that kind of low wattage, I always use a tripod. I have a steady hand, but even the steadiest hand might move a bit with that long a shutter time.

Correct indeed...very perceptive! She is a total sweetheart. The intense expression is due to a heated debate we were having at the time regarding a certain passage in the David Foster Wallace novel "Infinite Jest." In fact, that's what she was reaching for...she always carries a copy on her and she was about to pull it out of her pocket!
