most fantastic... i love medical diagrams, especially when they are not entirely factual. anyway it looks seemless like something out of a real but ancient diagram book. very interesting.

man, i'm too lazy to pick this apart...
but i think it's kick ass... exept for the font...
something less "uniform" would have been cool... like you ACTUALLY writing it, not some font..
but other than that... it's hella sexy...
did you like, draw these by hand ?

Nice work, uniquely creative.

I always enjoyed older medical prints, if you go back even further in time you can see similar prints that alluded to religious and mystical properties as we tried to connect the new things medical science were showing us.

The old paper, older style hand-ink writing in an obviously older style, the style of medical diagrams... you have put it all together in a really original piece.

Disturbing. *shudder*

But very well thought out. The parts are anatomically impossibly but seamlessly put together to create something much more dark and frightening than an actual monster. Great job.

I have criticism, do you realise that the paper texture background looks sort of like a book in the top left hand corner but at the bottom where it's burnt and torn it looks like a single of paper?

Anyway, I've still added this to my wishlist because I think it is great piece, the text and illustration are just flawless. I agree with all the people who've said it's Lovecraftian. Have you ever read The Dunwich Horror? This piece reminds me of Wilbur Whateley's brother in the story. This is just plain creepy.

I don't think this thing could have bipedal movement, though.

yeah your probably right with the bipedal part.... perhaps it walked real hunched over... and like... used it tentacle to grab on to tree limbs... ....but thanks yo!

Does the little human fetus have a tentacle foot?
The alien fetus' tooth/hand-thing is pretty awesome. It is, as I like to say, "the cuteness."

This is really, really cool. I can almost picture some scientist of today finding this and FREAKING OUT. Seriously though, one can only feel sorry for poor Dr. Francisco Devante Mibigatti, and for the pain he must of endured after discovering this monstrosity.
+fav, for sure.

Man, what would that thing look like with SKIN. O_o

mibi In reply to AislinUna [2004-07-14 08:18:45 +0000 UTC]

oh.. the human fetus...i got my fetuses mixed up... the human fetus is a bit undeveloped... which is why it looks fairly devious.

👍: 0 ⏩: 0

mibi In reply to AislinUna [2004-07-14 08:13:13 +0000 UTC]

actually the fetus has a bone from the inner ear for a foot.... it does have a little stomach-back and weird tentacle tube thing... like its mama

thanks for the comment... and lets not think of this beast with skin.. its close to bedtime

I'm wondering, what the hell is that thing XD I can begin to make out what everything is, but how it would look as a whole creature eludes me, and the fetus is no help at all. Anyway, outstanding work, and certainly (as I've seen said earlier) the most worthy Daily Deviation for a long while. I may ned to buy a print XD
