Last year I made this comic
To celebrate that transgender awareness week indeed came again I decided to make a part two to the comic

I am quite surprised to see how much and yet so little has changed since last year: Last time I was not yet out to my family, to the world. I didn't have a binder, I haven't contacted anybody for medical or legal transition. Now? I am socially out as nonbinary and even gotten to put some extra microlabels on it since I now also find transmasculine and boyflux to be words that describes me. I've gone from they/them pronouns to now accepting he/him as well, and I have started - in small steps - to medically and legally transition.

Not mentioned here I also socially transitioned from one group in my choir to another now singing as a guy which is a challenge in the best way - it subconciously deepen my voice but also makes me more concious about how it works in a choir setting and with deeper, richer notes than the soprano squeaks I was used to.

And then there's the 'socially out but not fully' thing to discuss:
Yes, I am out. But since I came out I have not felt completely satisfied with my name and so changed it again. You'd think it would be easy to tell people that this is the case. Nope. I feel almost more afraid of telling my family to call me Micah instead of Marco so now I kind of work with three names at the moment: the one I hate to hear (my birthname), the one that feels me with shame because I am not honest (Marco) and the one that makes me smile in most situations yet also full of dread because what if somebody who only knows me as Marco hears this name!? (Micah)

Yeah, not everything is perfect but in a year I'd say this is a huge improvement
